Raw Shaving RS10

My RS-10 finally arrived today and I managed to grab a quick shave with it using the aggressive plate on the first pass and the mild plate on the second.



I paired it with a Voskhod blade and found the first pass to be significantly more aggressive and not as smooth as I expected it to be. A quick change to the mild plate made a world of difference and transformed the razor. The result was a silky smooth second pass.

I’m definitely going to have some fun dialling this razor in.

I just received my Titanium RS10 and the finish is equal to my Wolfman I took a pick of them together. I will get my first shave in tonight

I have the SS RS10 also which weighs 110g the Ti weighs 60g so immediately a noticeable difference. I will do a full review once I get a good week of shaves in, but first shave impressions:
Pre shave- Hot shower
Soap B&M Lavender reserve
Brush Elite Manchurian
Blade Feather First use
Baseplate Mild
AS Thayer Lavender then B&M Lavender Reserve
2 pass WTG, ATG on my face, 3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG on my jawline and neck
The Ti felt softer on my face and there is minimal blade feel, which for me, is unique to the RS10 using a Feather blade ( I have never used a Feather razor) most razors do not combine well with a feather blade for me as it is harsh.
I had a very smooth shave with no irritation, weepers, or AS sting and am wife tested BBS. This is only one shave so i will continue my nightly shaves and give a full report, but I am impressed with the first shave

2 more shaves in Used the aggressive plate on a 56 hour beard and mild plate on a 24 stubble for both shaves I used

With the 56 hour beard
First Pass WTG and most of the beard was removed with ease
2nd Pass ATG on my face and XTG on my neck, BBS on my face and neck with slight touchup needed under the jaw line. Another smooth and efficient shave with just a touch of AS sting
With 24 hour beard
I did a quick WTG, ATG and was done using the mild plate on my face and added a XTG on my neck BBS smooth and simple.
I am getting about the exact same shave results as with the SS but the face feel of the Ti while shaving just feels softer. Only 3 shaves so it’s still early but very pleased so far and as with my other Ti razors I am loving the feel.

Out of curiosity, how much is the Titanium version, if you don't mind the question?
