Anyone else, or multiple someone elses, can still put the same brush in their cart(s). Whoever initiates check-out first gets 5 minutes of protection, at least for as long as they don't abandon the check-out process. But if you step out, whatever you were trying to buy goes back into available inventory.

Sooner or later I expect things will come closer to equilibrating. We'll start working through pent-up demand and begin to build some standing inventory on the site, which will allow buyers to shop with more leisure.

Thanks to all for the support and patience. Apologies for any disappointment and frustration. We could dribble brushes into the store without fanfare or advance warning throughout the week, but I don't think that would turn out to be any better.

You know it's hard to complain really as you did state upfront how this worked as well as what to expect.  I don't think a lot of shopping engines are set up for multiple people wanting the same item at the same time so there will be some difficulties.  Given these circumstances I do appreciate how you guys handled this as I've been involved in other instances where things weren't done fairly and rules were changed midstream.  I think you handled this about as well as you possibly could have.

I think the notifications and information you shared upfront was extremely helpful and professionally done.   Thank you!

I'm just glad it wasn't an auction! Can you imagine?

Still no Paladin for me after all this time. Crazy. This is harder to get my hands on than the 2 morris and Forndrans I now own. Very very elusive. Congratulations to all of you gentlemen that acquired one. Nicely done.

Thanks. We're confident that a Shopify-posted site was the best choice for us. It doesn't allow much, if any, modification of the features we've been running up against. That said, even if we could make changes, I don't think they'd serve us well in the longer term, which was the view we took in building the site. We're experiencing start-up growing pains. I think we're finally on track to catch up to ourselves.

Me too, and no.

Sorry, my friend. Thanks for your support just the same.

No problem Ken. Your brushes are absolutely stunning and without question, one of the most revered items out there I've yet to acquire. I got my M&Fs this year and my Wolfman. A Paladin is next.

Well I got my first paladin and it was my first choice. I couldn't decide between 3 Jade brushes so I kept going back and forth for maybe 5 minutes. I guess the Jade Sumo was not on the top of everyone's list because I bought it leisurely and still for it.
For those of you who were frustrated and missed out, it was probably for a more popular color/shape/knot size. More people going for it at the same time. Some brushes took a while to sell. At any rate you'll all have another chance in a week or so. Hopefully this was a learning experience.

Hmm, I wonder if purple haze will be in the next release...

Oh, I meant to ask, did anyone pick up a soap with their brush? I really want to try one but for $28 I think I have to wait for scent reviews before I can choose one.

Soap? Didn't even notice because I was pushing the brush buttons so fast.

I didn't know either until ken mentioned it in a follow up post. He said if you purchased a brush already we have until midnight if we want to add a soap or balm to our orders.

I'm curious too, hope it went well for him. I wouldn't have known about the release.
