Nevertheless, I just finished my first shave. I used Nuavia Rosa and a Nacet blade. First and foremost - the razor shaves smoothly with a nice understated audio feedback. The handle, when wet, is not slippery and is quite maneuverable. The shaving angle was extremely easy to find.
WTG and XTG passes went uneventful in a good way. I could close my eyes and still shave without any worry to cut myself. Unfortunately, after these two passes I still had plenty of stubble to remove. The ATG pass almost did the trick - even and close shave, but not as close as with my Blackbirds or the other benchmark razor - Paradigm Ti I, which is perhaps my most aggressive razor and an undisputed champion in achieving the closest shave, though at an expense of some irritation and superficial cuts.
The overall quality of the first shave was very close to what I could get from my BBS-1. Though smooth and even, the shaves were never a close enough to convince me to keep the BBS-1. I let them go a long time ago without much regret.
I will use the razor a few more times to make a more informed decision. Meanwhile I will reach out to WCS to discuss possible improvements of the finish. Though it might be still too early, I am most probably going to put this razor for sale or trade in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned and ask questions.
regards,
Alex
If this razor is as efficient as BBS-1, many shavers will get very close shave and will love Diamondback.
I used Ti 2, it was milder than BBS-1. And many of you found as very efficient.
According to Andy, Diamondback is more efficient than Ti2 and 17-4. Some of us are old or have thick and curly hair, who need to use very aggressive razors.
I recommend you use it with KAI or Feather blades, before decided to sell it.
