Seriously, I'm getting a little pissed with WCS by now. First, all this postponing, and now I'm still sitting here, waiting for my shipping notice while there are some guys that have already gotten and sold theirs...

Agreed; radio silence since 9/27 is frustrating.

Also, pretty annoying that I’ll be getting my razor later than people buying secondhand. There has been literally zero benefit from pre-ordering.

Hopefully the razors we receive will at least be finished acceptably.

Im glad I held off during the pre-order phase.
The claims were that it's similar to Ti 1 in efficiency but smoother.
Initial reviews compare it more to Ti 2 which is a milder razor.
I don't really get what makes this razor stand out.
Feels like the past releases were better.

I’m holding off to hear more reviews before ordering. If the efficiency is lacking or if any of its other attributes don’t really stand out I will probably pass as well. A smoother Ti1 experience is specifically what I was after. We’ll see..

seems like heavy statement for a razor you haven’t used?

Maybe not a productive comment on my part but people might read that and miss that you haven’t tried it.

He did say “initial reviews state ...” and his viewpoint on the back of this is valid. I had a similar reaction.

I am still hopeful, though. This is a gorgeous razor from top to bottom.

In my opinion it does shave smoother than the TiI, though not as efficiently. The two times I shaved with it I did get BBS, but the "longevity" was much shorter. I sold the razor mostly because I was not impressed with the finish (which did improve after brushing) and the weight of the razor.

I agreed, every razor is different for people used.
The owner is saying that it is more efficient razor than Ti2 and 17-4.
I really recommend you shouldn't make any decision before try it

To my knowledge, the owner hasn't publicly commented on it, but WCS made a post that they attributed to
him. Based on this, I kind of took it that DB would be in the WR1 0.86/WR2 1.25 ballpark...which is the area
I was looking to fill with a less costly option than wolfman. I am hesitant to
try a 250 buck razor (which for me will be $275 or so with int'l shipping)and then have to sell it, quite possibly
at a loss. I guess I will now wait for the other Fall release and see what people make of that.

Agreed.
These kinds of threads remind me of the Carbon CX, where people ripped it to shreds before it was even released, then went on to praise it to the heavens, once they got their hands on it.
