PAA Ascension Twist Adjustable.... Gimmick or for Real??

Well I shaved with my new SS Ascension today and I have to this razor is a keeper. It’s feels mild but tightened down all the way, I actually have a BBS face with minimal effort(which is difficult for me). Wow, I can’t believe i didn’t buy this sooner. I’m going to keep shaving with it but I have a feeling this razor is going to be my favorite. It’s great when you purchase something and it exceeds expectations.

I use the old B-bird long handle on mine.

Shane stopped making the long handle, then started again not long ago, but in brass. I have one stainless polished that I'd let go for $75 shipped. Send a PM if you're interested.

I sometimes use a Kai blade when I am looking for a bit more blade feel, and I use a Kai in my Copper Doc.  I don't have any hard science on this, but it seems that way to me.

Two shaves down with the Ascension and, honestly, I'm very impressed with this razor. So far, I have not "adjusted" the razor during the shave and I'm sure I could get things a little closer if I did. But the smoothness factor on this razor is what i'm finding most impressive. My ultimate test for any razor is the ATG pass on my upper lip...this thing is easily in the #1 or #2 spot! My only knock on the razor so far is the longevity of the BBS shave...I shave in the morning and by the time early evening rolls around, the stubble is coming in on the chin, jawline, and even on my cheeks which is really unusual.

The copper is back in stock again.
