This.
I tried one in a pass around.
While it's definitely not the razor for me I can understand the appeal of it.
I like mild razors, but not that mild.
Andrew, you might actually love it dude.

This brings up an interesting point.
First, the GEM Personna blades coated in PTFE work very well and last a long time. They are inexpensive. I'm still trying to figure out if the Feather blades are actually better.
To answer your question, you might get 2-3 shaves from the Feather using the razor the way the OneBlade folks teach on their website.
The interesting point is highlighted in a video at the top of page 41 in the 'Your thoughts on the OneBlade' thread It shows a different way to use the razor, called riding the pivot. One of our DFS members had the OneBlade folks admit something to the effect that the razor was designed to be used in the 'riding the pivot' method. I would go as far as to say that you haven't really shaved with a OneBlade if you haven't used it with this method.
The interesting point I was referring to is why the OneBlade folks aren't teaching the 'ride the pivot' method. I mainly use the GEMs, though the guy in the video I referred to said he expected the blades to last much longer using the riding the pivot method.
I don't know the answer. My best guess is that it causes people to use more blades. OneBlade is charging $1 per blade for the Feathers which is a significant profit for the.

The Feather blades last 2-3 good shaves for me, but I've done 7.
The GEM blades with the spine removed will last much, MUCH longer. My current GEM started on July 1st and has been used every shave these past two months.

that's the hope! if I don't like it within the 30 days, it'll go back. I plan on using it everyday during that time...can't wait!
