New "OneBlade" Razor

Certainly a nice SE razor for Under $50, but when you hit the $200 plus range and a sub, it changes the dynamic of the purchase.  You have to "buy in" to the system.  Not a great pitch for most of us that have already invest hundreds to thousands (straights and hones are expensive) in the hobby.  A tough sell for people starting out since the lure of wet shaving (in the beginning anyways) is cost pushback from Gillette's insane cartridge costs. 

I have some excellent GEMS that do an awesome job, I will stick with them, but that's just me.

You will never make that razor for anywhere close to $50, not even in China or India. Multiple by two or three after spending $25-50k on r&d and you might get close to the cost to make one.

Saw one of these in a SOTD pic the other day and wondered what the heck it was. Glad I didn't ask, ouch....

So no takers on the $1,000 numbered version??

It says Teflon coated spring so I don't believe the screws have anything to do with it. I think you likely push the top cap down clamshelling the head and change the blade.

It looks nice. But for me it is a matter of practicality - with 20 razors in rotation and enough blades to last a lifetime, no way I'm investing in a single-edged shaver.

Nice razor,but too much money and the blades are expensive....WOW!

I'm getting one to test so I'll be sure to report back. The design looks really good. It's pricey at $299 but judging from looking at it, it's not easy to manufacture.

I just bought one and received it today. Extremely well built, high quality, unique design w/ great stand. Will post review when I use it on Monday.
