This  is quite entertaining.

Plus; I'm a 1%'er now so I got that going for me.

mantic59, as the saying goes, “first things first” — no need to apologize for having to attend to family matters. But thanks for keeping the forum posted when you can, and all the best to your father-in-law and the rest of the family!

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

There have been folks on both sides of the 1% return claim.

It simply doesn't pass the sniff test with me. I do agree in giving the benefit of the doubt the first time there is an issue. However, the OneBlade folks have a long history of failing to do the right thing, thus they no longer get the benefit of the doubt from me.

I'll also say that my V1 stainless works very well and these folks are bringing innovation, new ideas and converts to wet shaving. The reason I call them out on issues is to help keep them honest, not put them out of business or treat them unfairly.

I thought I would add my experience with the OndBlade Core, for what it's worth. First, I am a typical 3 pass shaver plus touch-up around the chin/neck. My go-to razor is a Merkur 23C. So I like mild razors.
Given the often negative experience of many of you, I decided begin with no expectations whatsoever. I first checked for flaws on the razor but found none except for a very minor rough spot on the back.
So how did I do? I judged for comfort and closeness. On comfort - I had absolutely no irritation or nicks after any of the three shaves. On closeness - After the first the shave the result was only so-so but this improved after the second and again after the third so that after the third I had almost a BBS shave  and almost on a par with my trusty 23C. Given the results I am expecting that there may be some further improvement as I continue to use the Core and become comfortable with this new razor. Even if not, it's a keeper for me.

Keep at it BruceW! The shaves just keep getting better. I just wish the Genesis was in the $200 range.

I called to return my OneBlade Core today. I have a Genesis V1 and really love it, but the Core was a big disappointment to me. It was way too mild compared to the Genesis & I was having major trouble putting and removing the blade so I returned it. Interesting side note, they gave me a label for free return shipping and told me as a Genesis owner I could keep the remaining blades I had from my Core order.

I suppose that is nice but also kind of ridiculous to suggest keeping some blades from an open pack is even worth mentioning as a perk.

It kind of feels like they're making things up as they go and pretending to know what they're doing.

You and 100% of the actual normal wet shavers of the world.
