I do wish the CORE was more aggressive, as I like efficient razors.
Having said that, I've had no issues with the way it has performed, blade insertion, pivot, etc.
I appreciate mantic59 sharing his conversation with Tod, and here's what he related:
On the order of about 1%.
Not exactly 1%. Approximately 1%.
It makes perfect sense that the dissatisfaction among we aficionados would be much higher, as many of us are either comparing the plastic model to the stainless model, and/or we have higher standards.
If one only reads the feedback from the 'enthusiast' fora, naturally the perception would be that the return rate was higher than 1%.
I have no idea what the actual return rate is. And I don't feel a company owes me that information. All I need to know is that I can return the product if I'm not satisfied.
The comments about return rates are speculation. To ascribe dishonesty or lack of transparency based on these speculations and potentially skewed perceptions rather than evidence seems unfair.

Quote:I got a chance to talk to OneBlade's CEO about the Core launch today. He acknowledged several issues with the first production run: broken springs, blade insertion issues, too-gentle shave, etc. He said the return rate is on the order of about 1%.

All the best,

There is no doubt in my mind that the 1% figure is a lie.
I've counted more than 25 returns across various forums and social media groups. It sounds like a nice way to dismiss the negativity around this release. Also, why redesign your product because of complaints from such a small group?
I'm insulted by some of the things the CEO has claimed (gems being subpar, 1% returns, etc.). We know better than that. Give me a break.

Really, how many more than 25?.....28? 32?..36.5?.... 25/2,500=1% How many "I've returned it" reviews were in fact from the same person on multiple sites (Different User Names) and/or from people that never actually owned the OneBlade Core but have an axe to grind with the company? Let's be honest, you have ZERO knowledge about this other than your obvious bias against OneBlade.

Well, are we sure 2500 were sold?
I just think his claims don't pass the sniff test. At this point, I'm not going to take his word for it.
Also, I'm not biased against them. I'd love for them to do well and make great products. I own and enjoy the Oneblade genesis. I just think some of their PR and business decisions are abysmal.
