As far as I am aware you won’t hear of any issues with Vectors, and certainly if it is ever needed Blackland’s customer service is a match for anyone in the industry. Newly released designs can always have some teething issues in the beginning, but the Vector is well established.

Thanks for the reply, and yes, everyone talks about how great of a shaver it is, but blackland has done some changes to be able to maintain their razors in stock more often, so hopefully it will be easier to get one later on this year. As far as the Asylum, I never thought I would see another drop Big Grin

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1191

2nd shave with the Asylum Rx V2 and while better than the 1st shave it isn't a daily driver for me. Seems unchanged from V1 actually. Off the the BST it goes if anyone is "Man Enough" for it Big Grin Have a Splendid Day !!

More detailed description of the aggression of the RX and the small window for smooth cutting

I'm going to skip this razor and stick to the Vector/General/SE1/X1

Yep he nails the description well, smooth shaver but aggressive or toothy with a VERY narrow gap of nice shave. I call it a high alert shaver which I could use but don't enjoy. Moved mine on and back to the Vector which I sold in a weak moment.

Here’s another YouTuber video about the Asylum and his has a bent safety bar too. Not as bad as the two reported in this thread, but isn’t this odd? They all seem to be bent in the same place and on the same side, I think.

Is it remotely possible that his is one of the ones that the pics are floating around? I thought the 2 pics in this thread were of the same razor when seeing them earlier on...though they obviously are from 2 different members!!

Back with the Asylum Rx V2 after a break of several days. I binned the Schick Proline and went with a Feather Pro. I have found the best angle for me is using the Rx like and injector and keeping the face of the razor flat on my face. The shave today was smooth and drama free. I find the Rx V2 shaves very similar to my Cobra Classic. Both are smooth when I do my part but require that I pay attention. I was hoping the Rx would be similar to the Cobra. I can see the Rx being a daily driver for me.

I will try it next week. If it is like Classic Cobra, it is winner for me.
I am expecting more aggressive than Vector and Colonial, that is why I purchased Rx.
