Hope to hear from you how this one differs from the original V1. I love the design of V1. I think it is the best looking modern razor. But I didn't love the way it shaves. It was a safety-less safety razor for me. Although I use straight razors most of the time these days, I was not comfortable using V1. Bullgooss claims V2 is tamed a bit compared to the V1. I may purchase one if it is true.

Can’t wait!

Just got in. Returning the razor but keeping the Jelly Belly. Just kidding. Beautiful razor almost an exact copy of the original. No flaws and loads very easy. First shave tomorrow morning with a Pro Super.

Luck of the draw

I am sorry you are having issues, but "luck" shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Great news that your jelly beans arrived in good condition and the included razors are fine too. I’m looking forward to hearing your impressions - of the razors, I mean. I know what the jelly beans are like.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who focused on the Jelly Beans. Lol.

This morning he's talking about breakfast desserts. Now we got Jelly Beans. I'm going to put in 40lbs just reading your posts, Dave!

For me, I started my journey with DE razors; all of them gave me a good enough shave; better than any cart, but I did get some tugging specially on the upper lip area, and depending on the razor, some slight irritation on my neck. Due to a combination of rad, and wanted to get that perfect bbs, I kept reading about and trying new razors until I stumbled upon my timeless TI68 which yields a perfect effortless shave. But since happiness tents to be a fleeting and fragile thing, I tried my timeless with a brand of blades that does not use wax dots in the wrapper since they tend to make the razor stick if I happen to leave the blade in it over night. I then concluded that blade rigidity is what does it for me, so I went myself and got a wunderbar which solved that issue except for the fact that the high profile head and the way the blade sticks out, it makes for some awkward angles and maneuvering around the nose, and chin areas, so I jumped on the SE train with the Hawk v3 which is my daily, but I wanted more options since my lonely SE razor looked sad next to my DEs, so I went and got an OREN which was on sale, and although the shave is good, it is not as good as the v3 hawk. Now I was waiting for Blackland to re-stock the Vector, and Bullgoose had to release this shiny object that I could not resist. So basically here is the why I prefer SE razors as they just work better for me due to the thicker blades.

On a side note, as if the world was not cruel enough as it is; a day after making the purchase, Blackland announced that the Vector will be back in stock by the end of the month  Angry

The Vector is extraordinary, Daniel. One of the best razor designs of any type, in my opinion. From everything you said about your razor journey I think you will love it.
