Nice..floor level seats were running for around $700/ticket here..and that was further back on the floor. Not sure how expensive front row was.

I picked up nose bleed seats..they'll suffice for me.

I absolutely loathed that song. What a downer!

Freddy , I'll grant you that its not the feel good song of the year and I really had no frame of reference to compare it to the original version not being a Nine Inch Nails fan but knowing Cash's background and his struggles with addiction its gut wrenching in its honesty. I know people who struggle with addiction and some with family members who do and that song hits the nail on the head.

On the theme of "dark" songs, have you ever listened to Bruce Springsteen's album Nebraska? Now there's a dark and depressing album from start to finish. I generally prefer more upbeat music, Jimmy Buffet, Zac Brown Band etc but every now and then I just need to dip down in to those low places - can't stay for long though, too dark
Cheers,
Mark

Marko. Yeah, I've heard of Nebraska, you could say I'm a fan of the album. In fact, I'd say it's probably a top 5, maybe too 3 of all time for me.

You should check out "Badlands: A tribute to Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska" for some great takes on the songs by other artists. Ben Harper nails "My Father's House" and it has Aimee Mann & Johnny Cash too, so you can't go wrong.

It gets regular rotation on my Turntable.

Go D/L or buy it and thank me later.

For everyone else, if you listen to the lyrics and this song doesn't move you, something is wrong.

Mark, I just found that particular Johnny Cash song crushingly depressing.  I fully understand about addiction of any kind and the toll it takes but that doesn't mean I want to hear about it in my music.  Give me Beethoven's Ode to Joy over Johnny Cash's Hurt anytime, but that's just me.  Music, like our love of wet shaving, is both universal and singular, all at the same time. Winking
