Absolutely correct on all since I got used Breville Cafe Roma Espresso huge difference you get nice crema and taste real extraction from coffee beans.

I really Enjoy my Coffee and my Fav is Lavazza Crema Gusto and Lavazza Perfect Symphony very nice taste makes perfect crema with Arabica Beans Selection is Superb how they blend it.

Since then I wanted to step with Espresso machine, I’m Good fixing all kinds of electronics and found used one which is only 1 year old Breville Duo Temp Pro it was leaking water needed pump and gaskets. Fixed it all in my workshop and even polish it all. Breville Espressos use Ulka 15Bar pump very good and reliable my Esspresso was awesome with this Breville and liking it so much I decide to resale it and purchase a new one well used but in great Condition Breville Barrista Esspres with Grinder built in  Happy2

What happened I did order it on Amazon and they send me Breville Mini Oven by mistake so I have to wait almost 2 weeks till they receive my return get my refund and reorder again lol...my luck but mistakes happen.

At the moment I got some Vintage Lavazza Cups by Richard Ginori early 90’s I believe they are made fantastic cups to enjoy with my Espresso.

Here some picks what I went trough and upgraded step by step. And gave my mother my Cafe Roma to enjoy.

While I have a K-cup coffee maker that is okay, I invested in a machine that can take Nespresso pods and while not as good as a full on espresso machine like the one AlanH81 shows here, the difference between the espresso I get from this machine compared to the K-cup machine is day and night.  I start off with a regular espresso and follow up with a decaf one.  I'm surprised at just how flavorful the decaffeinated one is.

Since the early 1990's we have had a Zojirushi Hot Water Pot in our kitchen 24 hours a day. We brought our fist one home from Japan around 1990, and have replaced each one that aged out. Ours has 3 liters of 175 to 212 degree hot water on demand whenever we want it. By far, the hot water pot has been the most used countertop appliance over the years. For the last 30 years we have used it to make Melitta pour over coffee every morning. Melitta filters are available at most grocery stores and they were the pioneers of pour over...which is why we have stayed brand loyal. I can grind beans, pour over, and have a fantastic cup of coffee in less than 5 minutes! It was great when I was working, and is just as great today. We clean the porcelain basket after each use. IMHO, if you do not want to spend the money for a Clover machine (or something similar), pour over is the next closest thing, and just as fast. In our city (home of Starbucks) we have many artisan roasters. Also, I have been fortunate to have brought home many fresh beans (from growers) due to my past global travels.

These arrived last week, and I thought I had posted it already, but I guess not. 9 wonderful roasts from Stirling Roastery!

So far, I've tried only the Columbia and Brazil. I will be purchasing those two for sure!

Probably a good thing that you didn't try them all at once.

How long does the average unit last?  Is your water hard or soft and do you need to descale regularly?  I've looked at these now and again but haven't bit yet.  I think Zojirushi makes first class products.  We've had a neurofuzzy rice cooker for almost 20 years and that thing just works perfectly.  I briefly had a zojirushi bread machine but didn't get a chance to really get to know it before my wife destroyed it.  My fault - I'd left it on the flat ceramic top stove and my wife inadvertently turned on the element underneath it.  Molten plastic.  Mess.  Sad.  It happens.  I figured the fix was to buy a new plastic bottom part as it seemed to just screw off.  Unfortunately that isn't how theyre made - the base is the starting point and the rest of the unit is built on top of it.  The fix was beyond me.  So, I just continue to use that old Sunbeam bread machine

"How long does the average unit last?
1) Zojirushi Warranty is 6 months.
2) I only buy the Made in Japan models.  They tend to be better quality and last longer.
3) Ours have lasted 7 to 9 years with punishing use.  We leave it on 24 hours a day all year, and use the 195 degree temperature 95% of the time.  Our first one lasted over 10 years. We have bought all of them in the last 22 years at a local Japanese Grocery Store in Seattle. The new one automatically goes to 212 degrees if you do not set the temperature.  We use it every day for coffee and tea...or when filling pots for blanching, soup, pasta, vegetables or anything that requires hot or boiling water.  It is the most used appliance in the house.
4) Zojirushi recommends cleaning every 3 months.  There is a cleaning video on youtube. I clean ours once or twice a year after the interior turns a light brown. This is one of the very few items I do not obsessively clean.  I clean my Sunbeam model 3806 toaster after every use and it is like new (13 years later).  I also clean all of my razors after every use and they are all like new.  I have never cleaned my stove range hood (16 years).
5)  We have model Zojirushi CD-LFC30 3 Liter Panorama Window Micom Water Boiler and Warmer.  It retails for $200 but is now on Amazon for less than $150 (great price).  It is listed as Made in Japan.

Update on the Stirling roasts. I finished the 8 sample bags I had, making some notes along the way. And placed an order to full-size bags of the Brazil and Columbia roasts, with repeat samples of India and Mexico roasts, as well as a sample of Nicaragua roast. I am enjoying the Brazil this week. Full body, great taste, with hints of sweetness and almond/nut, to my ignorant palate. The tasting notes list almond and praline, but my taste buds aren't that educated to distinguish them, only to pick up a lightish nutty flavor!

My cheap roaster died and I ordered another one as I like this one and how it roasts. New one arrived yesterday. I took the old one apart and found the issue with the old one not heating and think I can get it going fixed. That will give me 2 roasters to work with going forward if I can get it fixed and back in one piece without extra pieces left over......
