[Image: QvnKckq.jpg][Image: tCs9fyD.jpg]Best coffee maker ever.  This unit is over 20 years old and with regular de-scaling continues to make excellent drip coffee.  One of the things about this unit is that everything that can come into contact with coffee can be removed and thoroughly washed.  Clean brewing equipment is vital to good coffee.  This thing has the power as well.  I know that people will balk at the price tag but it is the last coffee maker you will ever buy.  The manufacturer supports it, spare parts are available because, while its very well made, sometimes accidents happen and some of the plastic removable parts may get broken.  My #1 technique preference is pour over, Techni Vorm is my #2.  The second picture is a slightly older unit that I’ve gifted to my daughter. Such quality is hard to find these days.

Today, with a relative heat wave here (temperatures in the mid- to high-80s), my coffee is iced in an old A&W mug.

Got me a pound of green Mexico Huatusco Mango Infusion coffee beans that I'm going to roast next week - beans were infused with mango during pulping/maceration.  I'm intrigued.

Curious as to what roaster you have and your thoughts on it?

I’ve been roasting for about 25 years and have used all kinds of roasters. I made the jump a year and a half ago to the Aillio Bullet Which is an induction heated roaster. I’m just heading out but I’ll give you my thoughts on this roaster and the others I’ve used in another post shortly.

Although I’ve been home roasting for quite a while, this latest machine has me out in the high wire without a net. I feel like a complete nube. Thank goodness for their forum and some other expert information on other sites. I just want good coffee. Really, really good coffee. I also want to respect the bean and all those who’ve had a hand in bringing it too me from growers to pickers, shippers and retailers. It’s a miracle really that I can get quality beans so I don’t want to be the one who lets everyone down and screws it up. No pressure. Smile
