I received my titanium Lambda Athena yesterday and shaved for the first time just now. Wound up with a wonderful, care-free and most importantly, irritation-free BBS- shave. The efficiency seems somewhere between a Gamechanger 84p and Gamechanger 105p but with little to no blade feel. The weight is good, I think it's exactly the same weight as my Gamechanger 84p with titanium Crown handle. I am impressed and pleased with the purchase and the owner, Theodoros, is fantastic and very responsive. The DHL shipment took about a week to travel from Athens, Greece to central Virginia.

Funny thing, I was on the Lambda wait list for a month or two and once the razor was available, I got an email from Tara saying to let her know if I was going to proceed with my Wolfman purchase (I waited about 7 months). A little too much all at once and I'm not sure I need another razor so I declined to proceed with Wolfman.

First shave also in with the Ti Athena.

I find myself holding it closer to the head than I did the bronze.  Very good looking razor, efficient and smooth.

Ti is a lot more audible than Bronze - I would take every razor I own in Ti over other metals.

I'm a bit surprized you didn't look at the Aylsworth Apex TI
Its super efficient with minimum blade feel I have the Aylsworth Apex SS
Its a real winner in my opinion.
The main thing is you enjoy your new purchase.
Cheers.
Here comes the sun.

Going to have to say the one razor that impresses me the most in this category (Low Blade Feel And Efficient) is the .70 Ti Yaqi Ghost.

For me it is better than everything I have tried in this category and most of you know I have owned plenty of razors.

Where it excels is at taking off flat, coarse hair without irritating your skin.  This type of hair growth tends to cause ingrown hairs and why some of us can’t use aggressive or super efficient razors.

If you like the Karve Overlander and want more efficient, this is it for me.  I don’t feel like I need to shave 12 hours later like I do the Overlander.

It is the one razor I will always keep in my den.

How does the blade feel compare to the Overlander and other similar razors?

I have a brass Overlander that is gold plated and I would say it the Yaqi is the same or less blade feel to me yet more efficient.  Granted it takes 2-3 shaves to find the perfect Yaqi angle because the head is so low profile once you do, it’s just an amazing shave for me.

I actually prefer it to any razor I currently own, and that includes a lot of similar razors:

(RS-10, Paradigm Ti2, Overlander, Oliblade, Ti Athena, etc).

I have a lot of respect for everything I listed but that Yaqi .70 Titanium just agrees with my skin and beard and has such a nice feel to it.

Incredibly interesting. For you, what is the best angle for you? Shallow, neutral, steep?
