Light razors or heavier ones ?

Current razors include;
Light: Guerrilla Aluminum
Medium: Guerrilla SS and Charcoal Goods (approx 90-95 gr)
Massive (or George Foreman heavyweight): B&R adjustable (approx 153 gr)

Most in my favorite 85-90mm (3.5") handles. The B&R is the best razor (close shave) and requires 100% concentration on every stroke. The Guerrilla Aluminum is a fun enjoyable razor with perhaps more touch-up than other razors. Neither would be my ideal daily driver. For me, the medium weight razors are a good compromise.

I think as my technique evolved, I no longer need the weight of the razor "do the work", which is the mantra for new wet shavers because of the bad habits coming from using cartridges.

A few years ago I loved the tradere.


But after getting used to the RazoRock Hawk or Baby Smooth, which are very light



Even my new Colonial General, which is an amazing shaver feels maybe too much . But tge the smooth handle might have something to do with it, the RazoRock handle with their better grip might change my perception.



The Gillette NEW razors weigh more but their balance is just perfect

I used the Tradere last week. I love that razor, except for the weight...it felt too heavy, borderline with being clumsy, but tge the shave is great.

Put me down for a light razor

Heavier allows me to let the razor do the work.
Over 110 grams.

I prefer a longer handle heavy razor most of the time..... Big fellow comes to mind as my first "big" razor
