Wow. I am stunned to hear that. I have had unfortunately slow communication with Chris, but he has made right at least by me. I am sorry that happened, there is no reason to not have made that right for you. That really upsets me as I do love the razors I own, but that sucks.

At some point I just moved on and wrote it off. It's just money but it's the principle of it. Integrity and honesty goes a long way in life. Karma eventually catches up.

Yeah, I understand. I wasn't an owner at my last job but I was in a position that sometimes required making decisions as to how to handle customer situations. If something was our fault, even if the problem wasn't directly us but with the item or the supplier, it still fell on us. I believed in doing what we had to as best we could at making the customer whole again. Even if it did affect our bottom line. Losing a few bucks now is way better than losing a potential lifetime/repeat customer. There is always the selfish aspect as well. I always thought long run more than short term. I also always thought on the end of being a customer. I'm a customer as well and have been on the other side.

ALI I did receive an e-mail from Chris yesterday afternoon with an acknowledgment and apology of his mistake so I'll update this thread if he follows through on his promise to make it right and refund.  I'm not holding my breath but everyone deserves a second chance so we'll see.

I'm following this closely, as I'm sure others are too. Being slow to respond or even being non-responsive to e-mails is one thing, not refunding money owed is another matter altogether. And as Mike mentions above, there should be some interest added as well.

I've only done business directly with Karve once, and it was a perfect transaction, for a base plate. Other Karve products I've bought from various retailers.

We did communicate multiple times but Chris/Karve is known to either never respond or take a lifetime. That's a fact, as I've heard this many times before from others. At some point you just get frustrated and tired. Communication is not his strongest suit. He's very talented, a pro at the mill but sucks at running the customer side of a business.

     It took me about 5 email and 10 days to get a response to my order from Chris. It was approximately $300 US for 2 razors and an extra plate. I had wanted to change my order and confirm the extra plate as my response email from Karve didn't show my extra plate in the comments section. I did maintain communication once made, but it took long and I was very frustrated and had anxiety over it as I wanted my order to be right. It took just over 5 weeks to get everything and it was all beautiful and 100% correct. This was back in June/July of 2023. He told me he need to or was looking to hire some folks which it seems he has not done yet. Someone clearly needs to helm and maintain the customer service end there.

I've had good experiences with Karve Razors, but I do realize that many such as yourself haven't. I agree that he has developed this reputation and it's unfortunate. I hope you get your situation resolved though. It would go a long way for Karve in turning things around on this front.
