And by the way, I thought the over / under comment was funny. Given the exact date he responded with, I trust JimmyH has a good sense of humor about it, too. Smile

had my first shave the other night with the OC F plate and wow does it have quite a lot of blade feel - more than I prefer or like. ironically enough though, I heard almost 0 audible feedback from the razor during the shave. I did get 1 weeper and some razor burn...

I'll likely switch to a lower plate with less blade feel soon.

I think the E SB plate is the happy place for me, very close and remains smooth

Andrew,
I use the stainless and brass E OC plate and the G SB plate and love both of them. I would purchase the aluminum plates in the same iteration when they are readily available.

As I've previously noted, my preference is for the F SB in brass or SS. I like the F OC well enough, and get along well with the G plate.

Andrew, your post makes me think of my experience with the WR-1 .94. Got it on the last drop before the google order system began.

So I really wanted to like it, but I didn't. It seemed harsh to me. I could get a 'good' shave, but not a comfortable shave. So I shaved with the damn thing until I began getting good & comfortable bbs shaves.

In examining myself, as to why I went from not liking the .94 to liking it a lot .... I had considered selling it ... I guess I was used to shaving with one level of gap/exposure, and had adjusted my subconscious technique to that ... and had to retrain my eye/hand to this particular razor.

Anyway, by all means try the smaller gap plates, but I bet if you keep working with the F plate you'll have the same experience I had with the WR-1 .94 and come to love it.

Anyone have a Lupo to compare to the Karve? Wondering how these two similarly priced (at least aluminum lupo and brass karve) match up.

After the purchase, only the head brass, usually spend how many days to shipping?

Hard to predict with Karve. Could be sooner ... or later. Best of luck.

I still haven't seen anyone post anything about receiving any of the polished stainless razors yet and starting to think they were just a myth!! Has anyone received theirs yet?

It's only been 4 months since they were paid for ... Rome wasn't built in a day ... now with the pandemic the workers, if they're working, have to stay 6 feet apart ... slows things down  Rolleyes
