I am not sure I would want to use this blade with my Blackbird.  This would add even more blade exposure to a razor with a lot of that built in.

I love it. Give it a try!

For me, the Kai accentuates the features I love about the Blackbird. I also find that Blackbird works better with a blade on the sharper end of the spectrum, which Kai certainly is.

Actually, it's normal as the PTFE (Teflon) coating is being slowly eroded via usage.

Teflon coating? We don't need no stinkin' teflon coating!

Dobbs: "If you're the police, where are your badges?"
Gold Hat: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!"

PTFE coating is what imparts smoothness for DE blades & not sharpness as so many seem to believe. Don't believe me? Try a bare bones carbon blade w/o any coating. It's damn near unbearable.

I've been toying with the Kais lately. They give me a lot of face-feel that while not uncomfortable certainly isn't exactly comfortable.I ended up dropping it in my Feather Popular and it's evened out a little though I don't try to push it very hard.

I have used Kai on GC.84 but it was so sharp that I don't use it anymore
Things could be different if I use it on another milder razor such as Rockwell one.

Anyway Kai was sharp but not smooth to me.

It can be very different to other people Smile

Ordered 50 Kai’s, my next blade to try. Very curious about their Longevity. Are the Kai’s like Feathers and last 3-4 shaves? How many shaves do you guys obtain per blade (on average)?
