Back in January of this year (2021) I did a personal one month one blade challenge, and took a Nacet to 31 shaves. I enjoyed the first 26 days of shaving, getting comfortable 2 and 3 pass shaves. I believe it was one of the older “plain white” wax paper blades. After reading this, I think I’m in the minority of people who get so much mileage from this blade.

I have a goatee, and feeling the hair there, the first think I think of is steel wool. It is very wirey thick hair. This has to take a toll on the blade. Also, I have sensitive skin. So, I don't want to force the shave, doing extra passes with extra pressure to get to a acceptable shave.
So, the Nacet gets binned at 3-4, regardless. It's just better for me.

For sure I get more shaves out of a blade if I keep the blade in the wax paper for the first 10 shaves
I was just joking. Usually for me it's 3 or 4 shaves, but it depends on the blade and the razor. KAI in some razors can go for up to 7 shaves for me. I remember that when I was using Merkur 37C slant, after 2 shaves the blade was too dull for a 3rd shave. I don't know why but for me the second shave is always the best on most blades.
