this soap can take a lot of water so I just keep adding small amounts till I get it where I like it.
I'll always take a new soap , make a lather and add water in small amounts till it breaks then I know its limits

I really like the performance of this soap. Though I face lather. That being said I don't think that a bowl lather alone is enough to downgrade a soap. I can make any soap airy in a bowl, it's a bowl. Hopefully you'll have better luck in the future but for shits and giggles try face lathering or adding more water if a bowl is necessary. It shouldn't be drying out.

I found I don't need a lot of water to get thick slick lather.

I’ve been using, intermittently, the Lemon Grass & Lavender for over a month now and I find this soap to be fantastic.

I ripped through an entire tub of this stuff and can say I haven’t found any faults to it at all. Didn’t leave me wanting for anything in any category. A premium top tier soap imo that I’d always like to have on hand.

That is a wonderful report, and my more limited experience is also laudatory.  But as my experience is more limited, I am curious to know about how many shaves you got. Also, do you have an idea how hard your water is? —  Thx.

Have you tried a lot of top-level soaps?
Many of you write that this is a premium soap.

Can not speak for anybody else but I have. From outrageously priced EU boutique soaps to about all the best regarded US artisanal soaps as well as some the best vintage soaps.

Cutting Edge is amongst the 3 top soaps available today or ever to my perspective, the other 2 being Ethos and Grooming Dept.

I am proud and confident to state that so laugh all you want. In fact, will gladly discuss the merits if desired as well as comparisons to others if desired.

I respect your opinion . It is individual, like mine. I can tell you a minimum of 20 manufacturers who are one step above this. And I'm talking about it honestly. Since I am from America only at the distance of one ocean ....

Would love to know of them as always a chance have not tried them.

David has tested over 600 soaps IIRC; presuming you are suggesting 20 soaps are better, that would yet render it a top tier soap to any reasonable mind (just barely out of top 3%).

My criteria for soap relies on: cushion, glide, residual slickness and postshave - essentially base dependent - with HEAVY emphasis on cushion and postshave. David has surrendered a little glide for more cushion and his postshave is outstanding.  Frankly, scent is not even a factor as soap is not frag, it can only irritate truth told and packaging is nice to have but am not a chick buying fantasy face in a jar. Pardon the direct language.
