David it sounds like you put a ton of time and testing into this soap base and it shows. Is this the base we can expect for the foreseeable future or is it subject to change at some point?

I'm not gonna be the guy introducing a new formula several times a year or someone with six different formulas in production at a given time.   My plan was to revisit the formula about every six months to make sure it's still what I'd consider it to be elite in comparison to what else is out there.  If it's in need of attention or if I've discovered an improvement worth putting in place then I will do it.  Otherwise I'll leave it as is.   I don't plan on changing the formula frequently but if I can improve upon it then I will.

I do test formula changes from time to time and if I can capture an improvement and bring it over the the production formula then that would be positive thing.  It has to be something that's a proven improvement though, as I'm not gonna make a lateral change or change it completely as I really like where it's at now.  I don't want to push forward an improvement in one area while going backwards in another.  A good deal of testing has to be done before any change goes in place as well.

I have a hard time letting anything except my very best work out the door, so in all likelihood I will have one formula in production at a time.  If I introduce a new version it will have to be as good as or better than the current formula in all aspects.

Extremely fast shipping to Canada and thank you David for recommending me Citrus Wood. I received Calm, Mahogany & Lavender and Citrus Wood shave soaps today. Just shaved with Calm and it is really the Ultra Premium Shaving Soap. 10 out of 10 for easiness to lather, slickness, cushioning, scent and post shave feel. Top notch ingredients. Can't wait to try Mahogany and Lavender and Citrus Wood soaps. I strongly recommend.

I've gone back and forth with David on a number of shaving topics and he is a really knowledgeable and helpful guy. I've been using Cutting Edge Soap since this past December and find them absolutely incredible. It seems the rage in the high-end soap world has been slickness above everything. However, I love a soap that is both slick and thick and this soap has both. The thickness really takes out the harshness that I feel (and others report) on a new Feather and takes it down to 0. The slickness is like glass when you rinse between shaves and the post-shave lasts 12+ hours for me. It is super-easy to lather (which is a must for me) and the scents are all agreeable and nothing like some of the more bold/controversial ones out there. I'm really loving it!

I made some Calm and Dark Orange over this past weekend. It should be available on the website in about two weeks.

Nice that am not the only one seeing a general industry movement to slickness disregarding cushion. Other than when straight shaving, find cushion and post shave the determining elements in rating soaps

I've been using this soap almost exclusively since getting it. It's easy to load and builds a wonderful lather. Post shave feel is the best. During the evaporation of the water my skin feels like I've applied GD post shave serum but dries completely with no oily residue. This is a very good product.

I have always appreciated David’s help and knowledge since I started wet shaving last year. His soap is amazing with great performance and a
 light soothing scent.
