First Shave was with 48 hour beard and last 2 with 24 hour beard growth.
Fit and Finish is best in business currently, it matches my 4 year old high polished Wolfman Ti WR1 and is less expensive than my recent brushed finish Ti WR2.
All 3 shaves were very smooth 2 pass BBS shaves lasting about 14-16 hours, there is some blade feel, enough to know you are clearing the whiskers but not too much to become uncomfortable as a daily driver.  The head is compact and easy to maneuver and as with all my Ti razors it gives a nice soft feel during the shave.
I am very happy with everything about this razor, great smooth shave I can easily use as a daily driver, nice and shiny and at a very good price for such a beautiful razor, and it gives a lasting BBS shave.  Aji did a fantastic job with this razor.
Excellent write up. Happy dance time!!!

Well I'm curious Shavemd  how the H&S titanium compares to the Carbon TI ++?

That will be my next side by side comparison polishing is slightly better on H&S, Carbon is a little lighter with a thinner handle. 61g vs 50g

This was the Big One Dan had been building up for months, the Haircut & Shave P076 Ti razor pass around. The talk was that beard hair would fall out at its mere mention, that it is so light users had to sign a hold harmless agreement in case of being carried away into orbit and that it so polished users need to wear sunglasses to prevent blindness. And so it was that I came to test the H&S Ti.

H&S has become quite familiar over the past couple months; enough so that I am buying one of their N075Al razors as a travel and vacation home shaver. As I have posited in prior reviews, I am native Italian, which means design is an important element of all things; we view it as an integral part of our visual and tactile life experience. To date I have found H&S products’ design and high quality execution appeals to me for a variety of rational and emotional reasons.

Dan was emphatic that this razor would have a strong appeal to me for ethnic and motorsport technology reasons. I was regaled with stories of how difficult it is to machine open comb titanium and, even more so, polish it to the level of mirror reflection I have come to expect from Wolfman and past H&S SS razors. It was emphasized that even though the geometry was identical to the 17-4 SS of the last passaround P076, this razor would come amazingly close to the N075Al regarding skin feel while delivering an identical, if not superior shave to its 17-4 SS stable mate. This was fascinating and I was certainly excited about the razor but another part of me was also reflecting on past razors I have owned or tried over the years. It is important to convey to the public reading these reviews that my beard growth is light and that I have a moustache and goatee, which changes the shaving demands and challenges. Razors are personal grooming tools that need to fit the unique particular task at hand in a way that provides both efficiency and comfort for the individual: my needs may differ greatly from yours.

Thanks again to Haircut & Shave for providing these two unique preproduction razors for testing; it took courage to broadly distribute razors that aren’t finished to a production level; this reflects their confidence in the machining. These razors are every bit the quality of Wolfman in my opinion, an opinion that is very particular incidentally. My initial impression was that these razors are flawlessly manufactured and finished; if this is what the test batch looks like, one can only imagine how stunning the public releases will be. In fact these razors are so brightly polished that I messaged Dan if these were really chrome plated only to receive a terse remark that they were not. The depth of the shine and reflection was simply amazing! But what really shocked me (there is no other word that describes my reaction better than shocked) was just how light these razors are, disturbingly light - imparting an impression of fragility that was misplaced. A welcome improvement from the 17-4 SS was the perfectly adequate but much more pleasant knurling; where the 17-4 SS knurling was so defined that it distracted attention from my shaving experience, the Ti knurling disappeared into the background while providing perfect grip even using the slickest soap. As with all H&S razors tried so far, I really liked the handle design; it is very artistic and reminds me of an Indian flute.

Shaving with the P076 Ti was a unique experience. This was my first encounter with a titanium razor; while the weight savings are an incredible technological feat to apply to shaving, I am not confident this is the best material for my preference. All my preferred razors tend to be heavier, with more presence that I rely upon to apply the correct pressure during shaving. The lack of heft of the Ti induced me to apply pressure on an already aggressive razor shaving soft skin with mild beard growth. No matter what blades I used from Timor to Astra, the shaves were perfectly BBS but the post shave was too harsh for my skin and beard type. The feel of titanium against the skin is wonderfully soft compared to the 17-4 SS making it easy to understand why some people prefer titanium razors. My shaves with the OC razor where much more comfortable than with the 17-4 SS OC. However, the skin softness only contributed to the harsh post shaving experience because it encouraged applying pressure. It is my opinion that this is a great razor for those more experienced shavers with tougher skin and more coarse beards. The shaves were outstanding judged by the metric of BBS closeness. The other characteristic of titanium readily apparent to me was the lack of auditory feedback. There is a lot of debate on the forums regarding the importance and cause of auditory feedback with some saying it a great trait and others that it the byproduct of suboptimal design; who knows but I can say that the P076 Ti is notably quieter than its 17-4 SS stable mate, eerily so.

Ethos Soap came with the razors and it too was highly touted. I am a Grooming Dept soap user preferring the original Mallard to any soap ever used but Dan insisted the Ethos is even better. The jars are the most beautiful plastic I have experienced with beautiful caps. Ethos soaps are artfully packaged with a degree of subtle tastefulness reminiscent of premium Italian products. Of the 2 soaps provided, the Success was the most appealing as a scent but where the soaps really stand out is in the lather properties. Both soaps are outstanding, minimally the equal of my favorite Mallard soap and probably better if post shave skin tone is important. Very little soap is required to build enough lather for a full shave which is strange; I never used more than an almond sized scoop yet always had to rinse excess down the drain. With 7oz to a jar this soap should last years! I made it a point to take a generous helping prior to passing the package on the next person and will be buying a jar soon.

In summary, these are outstanding razors at a bargain price. The razors are a solid choice for those experienced shavers with normal skin and more coarse beards seeking a more aggressive shave. For people like me with softer skin and lighter beards, the soft feel of titanium combined with the light weight actually results in more post shave harshness than the more sterile and hard feeling 17-4 SS that encourages discretion as strange as that reads. The fit and finish is on par with Wolfman; these are outstanding razors with so many unique elements that many will want to purchase one just for those features. Understanding the details of these razors makes the price point seem very fair. It is interesting how H&S makes razors so similar looking yet unique that perform at such extremes for customers with different needs. Thank you H&S for supplying these great razors.

So I got both Ti razors in the pass around box I had signed up for. I've really been interested in trying this razor based on all I've been reading as well as from shaving friends who have either used one or have one like Mark aka Shavemd So yesterday morning I had my first shave using both razors in a kind of Shave Off. Used the OC on one side but only on the WTG pass and the SB on the 2nd ATG pass. On the other side I used just the SB agan to see what baseplate I'd prefer if I were to order one. I have to say with all the hype on the fit and finish being as good as my high polished WR2 Ti I was skeptical as so many new razors seem to be compared and in most cases I find them close but not quite there. Not so in this case. This razor is right there with the WR2 Ti I have that is a high polished version ( before he stopped offering this service ) evaluating both WR2 Ti and H&S Ti I'd say they are both about as good as can be expected out of a Titanium razor and compared to my mirror polished WR1 SS .94 they are both very close but as James @ Wolfman has said it's harder to polish Titanium up to his standards so in my humble opinion he still holds the title with his mirror polished SS as I can see a very and I mean very slight difference between the H&S WR2 Ti razors and the mirror polished SS. So enough said on fit and finish but I'll be clear the H&S Ti is a top tier level razor in fit & finish my opinion.

NOTE: I did notice that the top cap on one of the two razors seemed to have what I'd call a smudge. I tried to using a microfiber cloth to see if it was from the bubble wrap or maybe some tape got on it but it didn't come off. After using the razors I did my normal cleaning with Scrubbing bubbles, a rinse and a spray of alcohol and it seemed better but when it gets back someone may want to check it out. I'm not taking a chance on polishing it with a paste. I'll leave that to the pros. Just let you know it's the way it came packed to me and it's definitely not a scratch.

The razor feels really good in hand and as I move along on my journey in wet shaving I've been a lot more selective in razors I buy and I'm getting to a point where in most cases I prefer a Ti over a SS razor if both are offered and in this case I feel the same having shaved with the SS model. As most have said blade feel is there throughout the shave but just enough to let you know where you are but by no means even remotely harsh. In fact if I were to use a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this razor a 8 1/2 on smoothness based on a few other razors I have or have used. Face feel is great as softer against the skin which I find with most Ti razors. Balance very good and maneuverability was excellent.

1st Pass - WTG - with 2 and a half days growth I found I prefered the OC side for the first pass as it seemed to take down my stubble a bit more effectively than the SB did and the difference in smoothness was very close. I did my normal skin stretching but not aggressively as I felt very confident this razor was in no way going to nick me or give me a weeper. Also when skin stretching there is no need for applying pressure so the combo takes down the stubble very efficiently without causing irritation as well. It was very easy to find the sweet spot on this razor. I also figured I'd use the Nacet blades since they came in the pass around box. I will use a hand stropped Feather blade in the razor the next time I use it. For me it's a must to use one in all razors when testing a razor and how it shaves as it's my prefered razor blade. So at the end of the WTG pass I'd have to give it to the OC side for the win as it reduced my stubble a bit more than the SB side did on this first pass.

2nd Pass - ATG - Starting at the base of my neck I headed S to N and I noticed a reverse in my preference as I enjoyed the SB side more on this pass as it was a bit smoother and I didn't really notice any difference in beard reduction and even after 12 hrs both sides seemed similar with the exception of my nasty cowlick which is were some razors seems to struggle in getting my hairs to submerge beneath my skin to the same degree as on the rest of my face and only the most efficient razors in my den can in two passes. So on this ATG pass I'll give the win to the SB on this pass.

So I really enjoyed the shave and the razors and I think H&S hit a winner with this razor for sure. I can see it being a daily shaver but it has enough efficiency to take down 2 or 3 days with effectiveness. So I really like the razor a lot.

Also even though the pass around contained my Shave Soaps I don't review my products. I'll leave that to others as I don't want to ever get accused of promoting my products when doing a shave review as I did on another shaving forum where I got banned for supposedly doing that even though when I asked for proof of what I supposedly said where I mentioned my ETHOS and at the time my one and only product I had and I never heard back from the moderator that accused me of it. So if anyone was wondering I thought I'd clear that up.

I'd like to thank both @Dan Law for sending me the razor and Aji for the opportunity to try these wonderful razors!

Great shaves all and a happy 4th!

Please indulge a wild ass guess: Badger and Blade?

Home of the Admins lacking the decency to warn aforefront nor inform people of their banning with a mechanism for appeal because doing so would be to act honourably as men of character and principle.

Pulled out the H&S Ti last night with 2 1/2 days of beard growth, which is a lot for me, wanted to see how this razor handled it. Dropped in a Polsilver and lather up with ETHOS Lavender, which is my favorite by far.
WTG The Ti handled the extra growth with no problem taking off the majority of my whiskers
ATG Again the Ti felt extremely smooth, with just enough blade feel and audible feedback to let me know it was cutting smoothly. Cold water rinse and I needed to touch up the jawline and was rewarded with a smooth BBS that is still going strong 12 hours later. Ethos skin food and I was set for the night. Smoking some brisket now, have a great day!
