Oh okay very slick, pun intended!
Good to learn this usage.

Keeping a web site up to date is a huge job. It is not quite as small a job as you might think, but it definitely needs to be done.
The formulations are several iterations behind. As Mohammad moves from the Grooming Dept branding to the AION Skin Care branding, many updates to the web site will need to be made.

After Mo gets all the orders shipped, I will make it my job to nag him periodically until he updates the formulas.

Mo is a one man shop and I talked to him right after the release and it was the biggest response he has ever had to his soaps and products.  He also did this one under his new branding and the attraction to that alone was huge!  I have been riding with Mo and Grooming Dept since the very early days and I guarantee that once people get these new products, they will be ecstatic to the point that all of the talk about shipping time will completely go away.  I call Mohammad the “Mad Scientist” because every time he claims that he has a better formula than the last, he ALWAYS delivers something truly special in every way.  Anyway, just my opinion but please be patient and you will be rewarded……as always!!

It sounds like you know Mo as well as I do. Yes, he is obsessed with improving his products. Every time I am convinced that his products cannot possibly be improved, he makes me eat my lather/words. I finally learned not to doubt his words when he says the product is better than the previous one. Many soap makers have not made changes to their formulations in some time. In many cases, their products are good enough that they do not really need to improve. Although Mohammad makes products that are as good or better than any available, he still is not satisfied.

Over the years I have purchased 31 soaps from Grooming Dept/AION. They were always as good as anything available in the market at the time of the purchase. Even if I did not have soaps from other soapmakers, I would probably have enough soaps to last me for the next 6-7 years. However, I still purchased two new soaps for Christmas. The new soaps are so much better than formulations from a few years ago, that I no longer enjoy using those older formulations. I have retired formulations such as Primus, Lusso and Janus. They are still  capable of delivering an excellent shave, but I want an even better shave.

I understand the frustration with recent order delays. I apologize for any inconvenience. I made a few large drops at USPS today, and most DFS members' orders were part of these despatches.

Thank you for your business and support.

Keto, I have used Mo's pre-shave gel and post shave serum emulsion 5 years now. It changed my results. I can go 3 passes on the neck with no dire results. One jar of the Pre-shave lasts one year. One bottle of the serum lasts about 6 months. I have got to stock up again. Gettin' low my brother.

I put on some L'Avventura perfume 3 times a week Smile

I'm happy that you continue to enjoy the preshave! It's a big hit, especially after Michael Malice mentioned Grooming Dept on the Lex Friedman podcast, causing a rush for the preshave, hydrating gel, and balm.

The latest preshave batch and the upcoming shipment to TRC and Pasteur next week feature significantly improved texture.

I'm confident you'll love the upcoming Aion Skincare Facewash - Shave Prep Edition. The labels and bottles have arrived, and I'll be starting the first production batch in January. A daily Aion Skincare Facewash will be released in February.

I'll also release two new Aion Skincare serums in January.

I'm a big fan of the Pre-shave I don't use it all the time but it sure is nice to use. Scoop a little bit out with a stainless steel spoon and I'm off to the razor races.
Bro you need to get the hook up so you don't start jonesin.
I'm going to have to look into some Serum, maybe with the the Mallard soap coming up later.

I’m looking forward to receiving my Kai soap and splash, and it made no difference to me that I waited a week or two longer than Amazon 2-day delivery. That is often part of buying from an artisan. Smile

Truth of the matter, was jammed today but should have posted immediately irrespective of workload:

Have been a customer, and would like to think friend, of Mo's for years. Not only is he one of the most intellectual of the artisans but also quite creative. As with most intellectuals, he can display perfectionist tendencies that can manifest in delays; delays originating in his deep concern to deliver the best product possible to his customer base.

Admittedly, have been rough on artisans at times over the years, only to regret it because it unfair. One should bear in mind that artisans are generally one man or lightly staffed operations running on reasonable margins. They deserve a different level of expectation than even midsized businesses. What artisans give in return is innovative, crafted and niche products - thank God for these passionate risktakers having a go at their dreams.

I firmly stand with Mo.
