Rosemary may be another good one as well.

Is what you said that you may release 4 different menthol soaps and that each one will contain 1 scent to mix with the menthol?

BTW Mohammad, are you still working on shipping orders from the weekend? No rush if so or maybe USPS is slow to update the tracking?

that was yesterday.   Tongue

I'm glad someone is paying attention. It must be the fumes in my workshop; all day, I have been obsessing over basil, lime and cardamom Smile

I did ship everything, I just checked, and no order has been updated with tracking info, I don't understand what's going on!

I agree Eucalyptus Radiata is amazing, and rosemary is on the top of my list to use right now. I'll comment on the rest of your thoughts tomorrow, I'll flesh out the four menthol scents, and the four Conifer scents I want to release. There is some interesting overlap between these scents.

Now my tracking finally updated. No big deal. I would agree that there is going to be nice overlap of scents you mention on these projects. Looking forward to the development. I don't know if I can ask or if you disclosed whether you use FOs and/or EOs. I have no experience with FOs but I have been buying and using EOs for the last couple years and enjoy ones that I can use functionally.

Hi Zac. I had a super busy day, I still need a day or two of deliberation on those scents.

Regarding you questions about fragrances: I have used 3 FO so far since I started making scents. Most FOs are designed to be used as is, they're a complete scents, or have so many compounds, which make them difficult to use in compositions. I blend my own scents using essential oils and fragrance compounds which are building blocks and are used by perfumers. I hope I answered your questions.

Since I got my Grooming Dept soaps several weeks ago, they are all I use. I can't get myself to go back to the soaps I used before.

My face has never felt so good.

I'm adjusting my technique some. On the vegan bases, I have increased my loading time to 15 seconds. It releases wonderful smells and gives me tons of extra soap to put on my face after I'm done shaving while cleaning up. Then I show and rinse it off.

And I have extended to about 25 seconds of loading on the Tallow based Aether. Works very well.

To me, there is a definite difference and it goes to the vegan based soaps. They are by far and away the signature soaps of the line, in my opinion. They are simply incredible. They all are, but the vegan based soaps are a notch above.

I think I'm more excited to give myself a treatment with the soap on my face than I am to shave now. LOL The feeling is THAT good after the shave. It lasts all day and into the next. I don't understand how, but it does.

The amount of water I use is something I keep playing with too. I wouldn't call them super thirsty, but I do get a good amount of water in them and them "whip it good". And oh so slick.

I don't understand how Mohammad does it but these are far and away the best I've used.

Can't wait for more vegan based soap to be released.

Hi chaturvedi.ankit That's so interesting you wrote this! Two weeks ago I made a simple test scent with just Ho Wood+Geranium+Eucalyptus+Menthol Smile

Can anyone give me some insight on the Ambrosia scent? I assume it's cherry pipe tobacco forward, but I'd like to hear what some other members think of it. Thanks!

I’ve purged almost everything in the den (except Haslinger & WK donkey) in favor of GroomingDept. Mohammad simply makes the finest soaps on the planet right now. It’s all in the performance and post shave.

Quick shave with the Mallard before heading out the door. Slip and glide are unparalleled. GroomingDept soaps often feel and shave as if they are full on tallow and lanolin. Mallard is no exception but contains neither. Post settling in now and feels soft and hydrated.

Bury me with this scent. I pick up the chocolate , vanilla and coffee so far I think. Will explore the soap further for a head shave tonight.
