Personally, I think the peppermint strength of Aether is low - like right in the ball park where I like it. For comparison, Mike's Peppermint & Rosemary is bit stronger as is Sudsy Soapery Lavender and Peppermint. I'm not a fan of mentholated soaps, but I do like peppermint.

Agree, +1
My first time using a Grooming Dept Soap, and all I can say is "WOW!". The scent of Aether out of the tub is pleasant, but while lathering I was really able to appreciate it. The mint I'm able to pick up is soft and very calming to me, a lovely scent. I also really enjoyed the light touch of menthol. It's not a face freeze, but very pleasant especially during the Arizona summer! I believe MaxP had mentioned that the Soap doesn't leave a "heavy" feeling post shave, and he is definitely spot on. Often times Soaps that are loaded up with lots of butters do leave me with a heavy feeling as well, but not with Aether. This Soap has a beautiful post shave feel to it, it rinsed cleanly and left my skin feeling great. I would have felt just fine without using a post shave Splash, but why cheat myself, followed it up with B&M Cool Reserve and it was a great match with its touch of menthol.
Very impressed with this Soap, and although I usually prefer Tallow Soaps I'm going to have to give one of the Vegan Soaps a shot! My shave was so nice this morning that I've already decided that this is the setup I'll be using throughout the week, something I NEVER do, it was just that good!
Thank You for a wonderful product, I look forward to trying some of your Vegan offerings soon!

Just finished my first shave with the Aether by GroomingDept… WOW!!! Used one of my most aggressive DE razors (Weber PH) and did the soap deliver! Scent (to my nose - most natural mint), shaving properties, post-shave feel – all are TOP NOTHCH! Three passes and a bit of clean up resulted in a stellar BBS with no irritation. Did not need any aftershave, but could not resist to using my favorite Floid Blue. FANTASTIC pairing IMHO!

Had a beautiful shave again today with GroomingDept Aether. This Soap can really hold the water, I thought it already had plenty and decided to push it by adding more, and it took it like a champ! Thick glossy Soap, with a beautiful scent and excellent performance/post shave. I'm very impressed, this Soap is easily in my top three!
