I think too many are reading wayyyyyy too much into this. Walk to the mirror and repeat "Gillette is never going to make a company branded safety razor in the USA ever again!!"

Do not fall prey to insular thinking. Men using safety razors in the First World are but a grain of sand in the beach of sales.

We know it's made in Germany and not, I repeat NOT, by Gillette. Other than that I don't care if the Keebler Elves made it as it is not technically a REAL Gillette product, only a licensed product.

Actually, I doubt if anyone will tell you they manufactured the razor for Gillette. Whenever these kind of things happen, there is an NDA just so the ones that made the product can't take credit for it, although in this case, I'm not sure why anyone would want to take credit for it.  Huh

I get that, but we can't tell where your post actually begins or ends because you're posting within other quotes and/or breaking the quoting structure. that's what I was trying to say.

I'm more curious about how many of these razors were actually produced/sold than whether edwin jagger or merkur made the heads..

For sure. Someone has been paying attention over there and thought it worthwhile.
