I've edited the pics to watch better the details.

But I can't see that difference.
In my eyes, Edwin Jagger DE89 has more arch, less exposure, less reveal of the blade.
It'd be more comfortable than Gillette Heritage.

I like the Ken's video on the Walgreens King C. Gillette.

Here's another view of the KCG vs my R89 clone.[Image: b14e6d9bc59dcd4632fa95ca5bcf1d45.jpg]

Good for Gillette to test the waters with a razor or whatever they are marketing to the young and bearded. But have you gentlemen ever noticed that those YouTube reviews for any razor are never ever negative - those "regular" reviewers rarely ever if ever give a less than stellar review. I just cannot get any useful information from them whereas you guys DFS will take apart any new razor or software to such a degree that I can actually learn something (good and bad) about any new releases. Is it just me ? Just wondering

If the You Tubers tear apart a product no one will send them any more for free. CDB once said if he doesn’t like the product he will tell the person who sent it what’s wrong with it but won’t do a video on it.

I'm not that sure the new Procter & Gamble King C. Gillette at Walgreens is the best choice.
Looks less balanced than the Edwin Jagger DE89 / Muehle R89.
And less efficient, with a little more effectiveness but less comfort.
I can feel the blade chattering from here ...
Not for me.

You can tell all that just from looking at it? Or did you actually shave with it?

It's made by Mühle I have heard. Regardless, I bought the exact same razor (with a different handle) that was marketed by Gillette and sold in the AoS stores and called Taos. I bought it on closeout at TJ Maxx for $20 and sold it for $20 a week later. I despise the Merkur/Mühle/EJ type head with scallops. The Gillette Tech shaves far better IMO.

Here in Italy it's not available yet.
BTW, I'm not going to try this.

Please don’t misquote me.....if you’re going to quote was I was responding to, please don’t delete parts of it to make it  appear I was only responding to part of what you originally said. I even highlighted the parts of your initial post that I was responding to by putting it in bold, and yet you still chose to delete all of the bold text when you quoted me. Then you bolded part of your original post that I had not bolded, making it appear that that’s what my comment referred to. That is called misquoting someone and it’s not appreciated.

And no, you can’t predict that a razor will be “less balanced”, and “less efficient, with a little more effectiveness but less comfort”....just by looking at its geometry. That is laughable.
