Well after some time and patience. The Gold Dollar Razor has a Arkansas edge on it. Test shave on deck this evening. Once the edge has removed the steel wool whiskers off my cherub like mug. To my satisfaction. Then it will be sterilized and stropped. And set aside to go back home. The GD's have their fans and also haters.
They are fine in my book. This one is just as nice as my personal example. For $4-6.00 you really can't go wrong.
Hope you all had a good Sunday.

Well, well, well. Just got done testing the Gold Dollar razor. The extra attention that I tend to put into other peoples razors. Paid off in spectacular fashion. This humble piece of steel. Is now a certified Wuhan Whisker Wacker. The only way the shave could have been better. Would be to add a geisha girl to apply the lather and aftershave for me. Even without a shave assistant. This was a top shelf shave. And my face is as smooth as a silk kimono.
The chunk of Arkansas stone. Has thrown down the gauntlet. And is standing defiantly. Waiting to see what the Shogun Edge has got. Tomorrow I will work on the other razor.
Which will be much more straight forward operation. I have put away the belt sander.
Have a good Monday guys.

I killed a cold River soapworks glide formula soap and can't think of the name of it now but it was an amazingly slick soap.
PS- just came to me it was "Fragile Confusion"
