First dive into returning to non-Mach3 safety razors was a budget Qshave adjustable DE.

Very impressed with high value/low cost shaves on the straightaways (heavy beard, sensitive skin) but lips and chin areas are taking a bloody beating regardless of dial settings and techniques. Maybe it's my imagination or funky contours of my face, but the clunky thickness of the razor head seems to significantly restrict the maneuverability of the razor.

Awaiting availability of Blackland Era. Very few razor reviews seem to address the thinness of the head.

What say you? Thanks for any advice.

The best razor I have used for under my nose is the Tatara Nodachi. Another good razor is the Razor Rock Game Changer .84 SB. Both of these have very thin heads, but I also find the Timeless SS .95 SB & OC regular heads and the Merkur Progress both of which have chunky heads do a good job under my nose. The most difficult razor I have to get under my nose is the Blackland ERA plate #5 SB & OC. This really seemed odd because the ERA head looks almost identical to the Tatara Nodachi head which are very slim. The only thing that stands out to me is the blade reveal is very small on the ERA.

If you are into small head razors, the vintage Schick injector razors fit the bill.

For DE, I find these three easy for under the nose and handling the jaw:
Karve Overlander
Karve Christopher Bradley
Yates 921
Era (I know, this is 4, but the Era is on loan, so not mine, if that makes the counting better!)

SE razors:
Vector and Injectors

I like the head on the vintage Gillette techs (specifically english flat bottom tech).

My favorite daily driver is the Chiseled Face Legacy, super nimble razor and is easy to get the hair anywhere on my face.
