Favourite Bay Rum!? That's like asking me which of my kids is my favourite - I love them all - Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice, Mike's, B&M's Bay Rum, Mystic Waters Bay Rum, Dr. Jon's Anne Bonny is really nice, Stirling, HTGAM/PAA is good too, oh, and lets not forget the Ogallala Bay Rums, all great (don't like their sandalwood). I haven't been able to get hold of a tub of Soap Commander Purpose bay rum yet because they've been sold out in Canada for a while now but I suspect I will love it once i've tried it. I'm
really looking forward to B&M's Bay Rum in Glissant base which Will has said will likely drop some time in Q4 2016. The only bay rum that I've tried that I just don't like has been the Taconic brand and then there have been a few that I haven't liked because they didn't actually smell like bay rum, or anything really and those include the Beaver Woodright Blackbeard, First Canadian Shave soap and the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist. Seriously, how can you call yourself that when you can't manage to do a bay rum??
As for aftershaves, I love the Royall Bay Rum, TOBS, DR Harris, B&M Kyovu, Layrite, HoldFast Bay Rum, Ogallala (of course), Anne Bonny, the HTGAM in the heavily mentholated versions both with and without alcohol, and I'm going to throw the Holy Black Bay Whiskey Lime into the mix as well, GFT makes a nice bay rum EDC, Captains Choice regular and Cat O'Nine Tails. And Dominica Bay Rum too!
