Was sold this brush by a DFS member. Solid reputation. Brush was not inexpensive.
After the brush shed 5-6 hairs with the first two uses (and I treat my gear carefully), I brought it to the seller's attention.
This was his verbatim response:
"No way I'm completely shocked to hear that mate that brush has hardly been used only a few times so give it time I got this brush directly from ***** (manufacturer) and iv (sic) never had any issues with there brushes so it should be fine. I would never sell a brush to someone if there was any issues with it, I did a last shave with it before I posted it for sale and it was completely fine."
I appreciated him responding, but the fact remains that it's a shedder. I am going to document the hair-loss here on this thread.
Responses are not needed as I am not going to name names. However, a brush that never lost a hair and is then sold, now begins shedding is suspect at best.
First picture: 4 hairs. Note how these hairs are not "broken, but are complete. Coming directly from the knot and not broken off by the user.
I will let this brush dry 48 hours, before using again. More to follow.
