Yeah, I'm up to 5 now which is why I was hesitant for another but all the positives reviews about the Greenfresh are spot on.

I hear you Dave.  I've had the Greenfresh soap and SFS for a while, but like you, I am up to five ETHOS soaps, and I have had to slow down too.  I was one of the probably many people who publicly asked for the Greenfresh EDP, in my case back in January, so when it became available last week I had to order ordered one.  I threw a bottle of First Lather in the cart to keep it company.

The first lather is really good if you have a poorer quality soap you love. However, I got lazy and just stopped using the poor soaps and FL.

Still, nice to have around. Great idea for sure, Frank.

Hope you’re having a blessed weekend buddy. Congrats on 900+ Dave! Going strong!

Having sent a number of razors off to replating services, is there one that rises above the rest for you? Going to be looking into that rabbit hole soon when my Brass General arrives.

Scentsless Shaver

Consecutive Daily Shaves - 900
Razor: Krect Spiral Curve Slant
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: MrEE LE
Soap: Ethos Greenfresh
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Proraso Green Splash
Fragrance: Paco Rabanne 1 Million

So I'm a daily shaver and for years and years it would be seldom to skip a day. On another forum someone started keeping track of consecutive days shaved without missing and so I started counting from that point. I probably had longer but that's as far back as I had checked my journal. Kinda a stupid thing to track but I figured I'd keep it going here to since I have kept it even though not sharing. I saw I was coming up on 900 consecutive and thought it a good time to add it going forward to the journal. I've found that even if I've had a bad shave as I did recently with my 1st outing with the Clauss Automatic (I'll revisit her too) that frankly left me bloodier than I have been in 13 years, I can still NOT skip a day by choosing a milder razor. I still do 3 - 4 passes and the face heals just fine. Today was shave 900 consecutive since keeping track and I wanted a special soap. I had a sample of the Greenfresh sent to me by Paul (mrdoug) and it smelled so good, I ordered the soap, splash and EDP before I used it. Today's use confirms that it was a good buy. The soap is more a croap or cream but yields great lather that just feels so good to my skin. The Krect was the removal tool of choice today and I did some comparing between the 2 I have and found the difference in the shaves. The replated one is still a great shaver but slightly less smooth and I found an area of material that was probably over  removed in the prep process before plating. A little lip on the top of the guard of the base plate. It such a subtle thing and yet makes a slight difference in the smoothness. Today I used the re-plated handle with the head that has not been refinished. I may sell the other now that I have solved the puzzle as it would be a great shaver still for someone that enjoys the history of this brand. Can't wait for the complete Ethos set to arrive. Today I chose the Proraso Green and Paco Rabanne 1 Million to wrap things up. Have a great day Guys and Gals !

Here are the 2 plates to see the difference. I noticed on my non re-plated that one side is ever so slightly more smooth a shave than the other side and you can see that the lip on that side is slightly worn also. Re-plated is on top and right of respective photos.

Holy cow, 900 in a row! Well done, Dave! I had a streak going when I first started, but it stopped when life barged in and demanded my attention. I still strive for daily, as I just feel better, but still have to skip a day now and then. But good on you! Many of my skips were sheer laziness, recently, and not anything bad.

Regarding the base plate photos, is the "lip" running the length of the safety bar edge? If so, that seems like more than a little removed, more like a "what the heck!" Sorry if that is not it, but it is what I noted, on both edges of the original vs the replate. Glad you solved the mystery. Given some experiences you had and that I had with replates, I am hesitant to do it again. My Slim's Cerakote is either coming off the inside silo doors or was never applied well in the first place. When I emailed Jay at Delta Echo, he apologized and said fixing it could cause lots of unevenness, so I am trying to ignore it, as I can't see it (but I know it is there, mocking me!). And my Karve shaves just a touch more aggressively, nothing bad, but it is there.

Anyway, 900! Should we start planning the Millennium celebration? It's just over 3 months away!

Thanks Eric, If you knew some of the stuff I have been thru during this run you'd know that nothing will stop me from continuing it unless I just decide I'm over it. 1,000 will definitely happen before I give in though, but I see no reason not to keep it going. Like I said, it's probably longer as I only went by journal entries to get the start and I didn't always do daily journal entries. In fact many of these days I've done more than 1 shave in a day awhile back to get rid of 5 o'clock shadow before an evening event, but I'm counting consecutive days in a row of shaving, not consecutive shaves.

The lip runs the length. Some may have removed for getting rid of dings on the lip as I did with my previous so I don't fault the person that replated it. This replate was a BST purchase and I don't know the history of the razor.

Thanks Chris, heading out for some disc golf now. I've use North Shore since Delta Echo closed shop for cerakote finishes and Back Roads Gold for the Red Tip and Fat Boy and was satisfied with them. There could be others that are better that I'm not aware of. Best to do a post for current opinions to be sure if getting anything done. Hope you and yours are well too Happy2
