Get a level 3. I try different razors but always use either a ATT h1, h2, CG lvl 3 OC, or a Muhle R41 when I really want a close shave.

If you want a daily driver, grab the L2. It's hard to beat. The L3 is too much for daily use. But yes, there is a big difference in the plates.

I’ve had a bit of a love hate relationship with mine. Still more bad shaves than good.

That’s very interesting JCull what baseplate are you using out of interest please.
I’m only hearing good reviews about charcoal good

Got my L3 just the other day. It’s very smooth for how efficient it is, but it’ll be too much for me to use as a daily driver. Reminded me of a smoother R41. The L2 baseplate on the other hand is a fantastic, mid aggressive daily shaver.

I started with level 2 and now have been using level 1.
Starting to get better but I’m thinking it’s possibly the blade exposure that I’m not a fan of. Very similar to the blackbird imo but possibly more blade feel.

Couldn’t disagree more with the above comment
The Lvl 3 is a step above the Blackbird, the Lvl 2 has less feel than the Blackbird

Ya I can see your email but can’t respond. Not sure why maybe I haven’t been on the forum long enough? Not sure.
