CB is one of the best. I agree with the comments about the scents - Chris is a master. They are always superb and never need to "grow on me" like some B&M scents (which I also love and would place as one of the best too). The performance has always been top notch, and the Before & After splashes are excellent - my wife got me 2 for Christmas. Plus, I love the origin of CB - the backstory.

I have several Catie's Bubbles soaps (and a few bath soaps as well which if you haven't tried, I recommend) - Midnight Dreary is one of my all time favourite scents. I'd probably have more CB soaps if they were more readily available up here in Canada because with shipping costs and exchange etc, they just get a little pricey and the Canadian vendors who have carried them in the past haven't had a full selection nor restocked - ever, like sold out for years. I'm glad to see people still use and have respect for CB - maybe Carmine at Top of the Chain will pick up the line, he's very quickly gone from the new kid on the block to the vendor with the best artisan soap selection in Canada.

Chris is the best IMO - he's done several razors for me and they're incredible. Chris is so generous with his time and knowledge too. He'll tell you what is possible and what isn't and why. For those of us interested in vintage razors, we are lucky to have Chris as a resource.

CB is a pretty interesting brand. Their original formula was pretty solid, and each iteration has shown some improvements as Chris has tweaked and reformulated, but two of his formulae stand out as the best for me, and unfortunately both are tricky to procure:

Italian Style - No coconut oil, and I still have a tub of Sunrise in this style. I find that it gives everything I like in a shave soap with better protection for my baby skin, so I don't get ingrown hairs using this one.

Luxury Cream Soap - Brilliantly done, and a definite step up from the Luxury Soap formula. I have the Menage a Lavande, and would love to pick up more, but this formula is a pain to get a hold of. Same ingredients, basically, as the Luxury Soap, but it has been superfatted and undergone a rot process like a true cream, and the performance is stellar as a result. I am always on the lookout for more iterations of this stuff, since it, like the Italian Style, keeps me free of ingrown hairs so much better than his main line.

As far as scents go, Chris seems to really nail it with vetiver and peppermint oils in particular. I can pretty much blind purchase anything using those EOs and know it's going to rock.

I only own 1 CB soap, which happens to be LPV, and I quite like the scent. fortunately for me, it does not burn my skin.
