Razor: Carbon Shaving Company Cx-Atlas w/ the 316L original base plate
Blade: Dorco Titan (d5)

Soap: Barrister & Mann 42
Brush: Yaqi Ocean (28mm synthetic)
Bowl: Bluff Cove Pottery

Post 1: P.A.A. Alum No-Slip Grip System w/ Dry Dock System
Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus
Aftershave: Barrister & Mann 42

Not much needs to be said about a top-notch shave like this one. At least for all that are familiar. I will say that this combination is a guaranteed good time though.

The Cx-Atlas is a fantastic lightweight razor with it’s carbon fiber titanium handle. The knurling is great as well as the spacing of the titanium ends. It really is worth mentioning. It feels good and just functions without issue.

Working my way down the base plate options, I was looking forward to using the "original" plate again. It makes the razor a very efficient and enjoyable daily driver. It's not mild in the true sense but is really the best sweet spot for most people looking to use this razor on a fairly frequent basis but that are wanting reliably good efficiency without irritation

The Barrister and Mann 42 scent is beautiful, to say the least, and is a great choice if I do say so, for this third day of Spring. With its petunias, ambergris, tea and lemon sugar aka Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster scents blended together, you get an accord that is wondrous and as unique as anything you may come across while traversing the galaxy.

My Yaqi Ocean 28mm brush worked quite well in my artisan bowl to create a rather nice bit of lather, before doing a three-pass shave. I no longer feel any whiskers left on my face at all so, I'm rather pleased with the results.

To round out this affair I applied some matching aftershave and am basking in the floral beauty of this galactic concoction.

And there you have it. Another fine shaving experience. Thanks for reading, take care of yourself and enjoy your shave.

Razor: Carbon Shaving Company Cx-Atlas w/ the 316L Mild (.71mm "-") base plate
Blade: RK Stainless (green) (d2)

Soap: Pré de Provence No.63
Brush: Omega Boar 10005/80005

Post 1: P.A.A. Alum No-Slip Grip System w/ Dry Dock System
Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus
Aftershave: Pré de Provence No.63 balm

I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. One that I'll have to wake up very early for. I'll have no time to shave in the morning so I did a rare nighttime shave to be prepared.

Because I'm shaving at night I wanted to be careful of what scent (aftershave) I use. Not everything I'd wear during the day works for bedtime. So I decided the beautiful warm, wood and spice scent of No.63 would be perfect. Spoiler... It was.

I dropped a second-use RK blade into the Cx-Atlas razor with 316L Mild base plate and was set.

With this kind of soap, I like to rub it against my stubble. Kind of like a cheese grater then face lather with a wet brush. So I did this and it worked quite well.

I did a three-pass shave and even though I used the "-" base plate, it still has a good bit of efficiency. By no means was I let down by this configuration. I still earned a bbs.

So there you go. Once done I rubbed in some No.63 balm and that was that.

Off to bed I go smelling great. I can't ask for anything more.

Take care and enjoy your shaves.

Here's a quick few tips/rules for the pass around.  Please try to be mindful of the creator of the razor and everyone on the pass around list.  If you're going to be out of town just before or during your turn, just ask us to bump you down on the list so you can have the proper time to use it and so you also do not hold up others from trying the razor(s) in a timely manner.

As this pass around includes more than 1 razor, let's agree to keep it for 10-14 days before passing it on so people have adequate time to use and judge everything.

Also, please insure the razor for $1,000 just in case it gets lost in the mail..
