Paypal fees differ from country to country...all I know is if I return a product from overseas for a full refund from seller, I always get less money back
fm Paypal in my credit card statement. This is due to any forex rate fluctuation (usually minor), as well as the Paypal fees which PP will not return automatically. It is up to the buyer to then contact his bank and get the difference returned. In my case, they always do it in about 5 working days.

As Max and you pointed out, big mistake by seller was releasing refund before receiving the return.

What I do find puzzling is the case of mistaken identity with the handle...these razors always exchange hands as a complete set....no one sells a head
on its own. How does an original handle get misplaced and allegedly replaced by a replica?

And still no sign of the seller to offer an explanation.

I was told you can get a head only and that some  of the Ti’s were sold that way.

I do know also some people split them up as they loved the handle and put them on WR2’s.

To each their own.

There was one for sale on eBay lately.

I only noticed the handle dublicate when I received the razor, because of the poor camera quality.
I also own the russian Tibam sample 15 handle in matt
and the handle grain is slightly different.
Nothing was mentioned about it before the sale. The seller contacted me, because I was looking for the  LASSC BBS-1 razor

Thanks for taking the trouble to explain.

So, the seller tried to pass off a BBS-1 replica handle, as an original handle thinking you would not notice.
And then issued a refund immediately, without receiving the razor back. That's quite a basic mistake by someone with nefarious intent.

And are the allegations that you listed the razor for sale later on eBay Germany true?

Like I said, I just wanted to get back exactly the money I sent him.
For me there were two options
1: Return the razor with a loss of over €100
or
2: keep it until I get the money back and have a conversation with the seller.
The seller didn't want that. I offered this to him over and over again.
And yes it was a mistake to offer it for sale.
That's why I took the razor out again after a short time.
I only did this because the seller kept insulting me and shared personal information about me on Badger& Blade

Still it is no excuse for putting the razor up for sale over £97 - you work the issue until resolved at that point

I waited long enough and gave Scott the opportunity to pay back the money that I had sent him over a longer period of time. Scott didn't do this and insulted me.

You know what, League?  I think you conducted yourself very well in the transaction.  If I understand correctly, you are out roughly $100 but you have the head and handle in hand.  If that is true...keep the razor and sell it for your $100 + shipping.  Problem solved.

PS.  I think you misunderstand T28.  He is on your side here.

Poor wording. I don't speak for Tester.  It sounded to me like League may have misinterpreted T28s comments as apposing his own, I believed the two trains of thought to be congruent. That's what I was trying to express.  Cary on.

This is a very troubling thread. I am completely baffled that a seller would refund money before receiving the product back.

from my understanding, the buyer wasn't happy with the purchase because it did not have the original handle. I have no idea whether or not this was disclosed at any point, but from what the seller told me, he refunded back the original purchase price, but the euro exchange rate was less than the original amount because the USD was weaker at that point, or something along those lines....

It's kind of weird to refund back the money PRIOR to receiving the item back. it's also weird to get almost all of your money back, keep the razor and list it for sale in your native country.

League, why didn't you ship the razor back once you got the $1,375 and then just disputed the difference through paypal or whatever site you used to send the payment?
