I think you two need to work this out. But to keep the razor over ~$100 and then try to sell it is in bad faith, I believe.

Also, doesn't help when the sale was conducted in US$ and then figures in Euros are quoted. Very confusing to all.
US$ should be the only currency in the picture. And exchange rate fluctuations cannot be blamed on either party.
Redressal must be sought from card issuing bank not by penalising a buyer or seller.

It's a reasonable conclusion to draw. Hopefully won't affect all sales.
But I suspect we will now see buyers of BBS-1 taking extra care to verify authenticity.

This Tibam guy sure created a hell of a mess by making a replica so close to original, you can only tell
it apart from the "handle grain".

If I’m not mistaken, the Tibam sample 15 is Titanium and should weigh about 60% of the BBS1 handle. I also guess he made that handle (Tibam) in several metals per people’s requests on eBay.

Even though it looks good, it isn’t James quality good. I’m not saying it will be easy for everyone to tell, but for most who have owned a few WR1 and WR2 razors and not a BBS1 it shouldn’t be too hard to tell.

Sad that this has happened. I support neither side of the argument in that only this is a case where a transaction can go from bad to worse in more ways than one can describe. In reality, I hope that an amicable resolution between both PRIVATE parties can be achieved as soon as possible. I don’t know the full details of the transaction nor do I want to as I’m not in the position to pose as an armchair, keyboard punching litigator/arbitrator. This does not fall unto the responsibility of DFS nor it’s Administrators. We would like to see a happy ending but, ultimately this is a dispute between two individuals that can only find common ground & a resolution between themselves. There are guidelines for those that wish to conduct their business on the b/s/t forum. It’s simple and to the point in plain english so that all members can understand. Link below.

https://damnfineshave.com/announcement-bst-rules

In the end, due diligence is the key and solely the responsibility of those involved in any specific transaction. Ask questions, ask for proof and if it’s not enough or is lacking, ask for more in description or photo’s. If one is still in doubt or still feels the details provided are inadequate, simply walk away and close the page. Do your homework and employ logic & some common sense (I know, severely lacking these days or differing perceptions on common sense & logic) in your specific dealings in any and all b/s/t & online transactions.

I will say no more about this subject except good luck to both parties involved.

Infact no one has control over the fluctuating forex rates. Best solution in this case is for the buyer to speak to his bank and request for waiver of these conversion charges.

In any case , seller is not to be penalized for the transaction fee charges .

League what is your plan of action here?

scottb7862 is out his razor and $1,300 (or whatever was sent back to you). this does not seem fair to me, at all...

Concurred. You can't just abscond with US$2.700 stating it makes you whole for US$100.

Scott messaged me several hours ago and wanted his razor back.
No problem on my part. However, he still hasn't sent me the remaining money.
I sent him €1341
and he sent me €1218

I never intended to, but like I said, a deal is a deal and Scott sent me the wrong product.
I would pay €25 myself to ship it back to the USA, but I also want to get the money back that I sent him and he dont do it.
If he do it I will ship immediately at the same day

why should he be responsible for paying you a fluctuating currency rate that he has 0 control over?
