Yeah, it is a very good razor indeed. I’m still learning it and trying different blades and techniques, but my first shaves were great and they are getting markedly better. Plus I am enjoying shaving with this wide, low-profile head. For whatever reason it is the razor I tend to pick up the most often these days.

I'm glad you like it.  My first use with the Vector back in April was pretty much exactly as yours.  I couldn't believe how much better the results were than any DE I'd ever tried before.  A couple months ago I ended up selling off all of my DE razors because every time I tried to go back to one, I just felt like I was missing something.

The Kai milds are my favorite blade.  Once you're ready to replace that one, try out one of the guarded Protouch MG I put in there.  You may even prefer those if you shave every day.

This titanium version sounds damn sexy as I adore lighter razors. However I have a 95mm tibam TI bamboo handle at 31g with the ss vector head for a total weight of about 48g. Could the 44. 5g weight of the TI version really be that life changing for 3.5g less weight?

When I was waiting for the Ti Vector to arrive, I did a similar combination of a TiBam New York handle on the SS Vector head.  I'm not sure if the 3.5g of weight will make a difference, but I can tell you in my opinion the Ti Vector feels better than franken combo.  I think it has more to do with the design/shape of the Vector handle than it does the slight weight difference.  There's something about the standard handle that just works really well on the Vector, and that's coming from someone who swapped out handles on pretty much every razor I've owned.

OK, I'm not that behind the times  Confused If you'd said a couple of years ago that would have been really embarrassing.  I like the logo.  Is there a significance to the stag or is it just cool?

I'm not ever used the vector. Can you guys give me some idea about the efficiency,  compared to other modern razors

That depends how you define "efficiency".  It has some blade feel to it, but I've never felt like I was going to cut myself or that I have to be overly cautious while using it.  It is not as efficient as a Blackbird on a single pass, for instance, but I find the overall shave results after 3 passes to be closer than any other razor I've used, with no compromise in comfort.

I appreciate what you saying that does make sense. I guess I usually do check out the first pass like you see how much hair comes off.
For me I've got a couple of trouble spots that I seem to associate how good I get them with efficiency of a particular razor. This part is probably the end result after however many passes.
Sounds like it's pretty dead on for you that's terrific.
I really like seeing guys hit a home run with their shaving gear, as well as myself.
