Hey gents. It's a been a fun couple of months since this was updated. I have a quick announcement. Down to the final 3 long handled 'birds and 2 shorties of this batch. Working on the next production run(taking longer than I had hoped, of course). When that is far enough along to provide a reasonably accurate ETA I will open up preorders. The next batch will feature muted base plate corners with a small radius to provide the same efficient shave a bit more comfortably. All three finishes (black oxide, machined, polished) will be available at that time.

The second wave of Blackbirds is coming.

New Features of the Blackbird
Rounded Corners -
We have listened to the feedback of the original Blackbird owners and decided to alter the base plate corners that were creating an uncomfortable shave for some users. The Blackbird base plate now has updated, rounded corners that will ensure a comfortable and smooth shaving experience without compromising on the Blackbird's striking design. All finishes of the Blackbird will feature the updated base plate design.

Polished Finish -
The price of polishing has changed to $30 for a Blackbird with one handle and $35 for a Blackbird with both handles. Each razor is carefully polished by hand here at Blackland to ensure the high quality finish your Blackbird deserves. This price change reflects the substantial time commitment necessary to produce a flawless finish.

I think I could live with that.

However, I think the most Bond-appropriate razor would have to be the Elgin which fits into a tube that looks like a pen.
