Thanks again for your patience. This silver 101mm handle delay is killing me.

Somehow I have to adapt the SR71 model I have in my office to be a razor holder for mine when I get it.

Thanks for the compliment Monte! I had that same thought about making a model plane holder into a razor stand. I'm not going to do it, but I have a cool image in my head!

By the way, I'm not trying to pressure anybody, but I'm running really low on black razors, especially shorties. I don't think they will survive more than a couple of weeks.

I'll have the long handles in tomorrow or Wednesday for certain. Those orders will go out at soon as I take delivery of the handles.

I know. This whole thing is so ridiculous. Sad

Here's what happened: Parts get shipped from machinists to finishing company. I go to pick up the finished parts and it turns out they are 50 short. Their policy is to not count parts over quantities of 100 so they didn't realize they were short until after finishing the parts. So now we have to find out where the lost 50 are. Call up the machinist, turns out they accidentally didn't ship 50 handles. So he ships them, but by that point it's the Christmas weekend so everything is closed. Then the parts arrive last week, but the finishers take off Thursday and Friday for New Years. And now we're here. One honest and simple mistake just got compounded by holiday closures and I'm stuck without any power. But on the flip side, they're done and lesson learned.

And of the problems that could have arisen with a pilot production run, pretty minor in the grand scheme.

Your communication and management of expectations has been seemingly great and that will go along way with your customer base based on experience.

Beautiful blackbird! Pictured loaded with a Voskhod blade, and a few water droplets after a rinse. Really looking forward to the shaves.

First shave today was excellent. I didn't need ATG pass or any touchup for a smooth BBS shave. As I mention in my SOTD I paid close attention to angle and pressure. It feel like the razor is made of iron...not so much from the weight but the overall presentation on the face. Very cool. I have the 100mm handle and felt that it balanced very well, and the design keeps the water off the handle when rinsing the head between passes.
I'm very pleased and looking forward to more Blackbird shaves. Thanks Shane!
