As some of you may know I had the opportunity to do a pre-production 'review' of the razor quite some time ago over here. Wow, that was over six months ago...time flies.

It's a great razor that I've enjoyed using multiple times over these six months and I'm actually rather excited myself to see others getting a chance to try it out themselves in just a few days

Yes, the razor was, as mentioned in the review, provided to me at no cost so I know that 'disqualifies' it as a review in some people's mind but well, since it wasn't for sale at the time it was hard to buy one Anywho, I'm rather sure that there will be a number of 'first impression' posts coming out in the next few weeks by new owners.

When are you expecting the razors with the 101mm handles to ship out? I got the Kickstarter update stating that those won't be going out this week. Is there a target date? Thanks buddy!

Hey Hector,

Sorry for the confusion. They will be going out this week, just not as early as some other orders. Basically 50 silver 101mm handles missed the boat from the machinist to the finishers. So those parts are being passivated and will be sent to me ASAP. I expect to have them by mid-week and then they'll be out the door probably the day after I receive them.

Looks nice.

Most of the orders have gone out with the exception of long handles which will ship mid-week. Starting to get low on stock and I expect this batch of razors will fully sell out in January. I'll be talking to my machinist tomorrow about preparing for the next run and getting a few OC base plates made.

Also, a new Blackbird owner gave me to permission to share this awesome photo so I thought I'd do just that.
