Marilyn smells more like a sweeter version of Full Measure Of A Man which is IMO a good thing as I really like the latter (and Ravish too!).
I want to see them reintro Sunny Lane as I really, really liked that one and snoozed at the wheel too long when I should have bought a tub.
Thank you for helping resist buying another soap. Describing Marilyn as anything like FMofMan is the kiss of death for me.

Maggard states that they will have samples of the "new" Rhapsody and also Red Letter Day soon. Just an FYI. The 1 oz. samples of these are on the B&M website now. I never owned or smelled the original Rhapsody and what reviews I do show it was a divisive "love or hate" scent. I will try a sample. However, for all you cheap "lock pocket" types get your own sample for review, freeloaders.

Marilyn doesn't smell anything like Full Measure of Man to me FWIW. If you've ever smelled Knize Ten it's similar to that in my opinion.

I don't get the Knize Ten analogy at all, but different noses smell differently obviously.
This is why people need to buy their own samples and make their own decisions unless you follow say a trusted Youtube reviewer. Scents are very personal and one man's "meat" is another's "poison".

Personally, I have always given precious little credence to the opinions of others as to whether a fragrance will be for you. Even in my own reviews, I break down the scent as is, but I generally do not tell people to buy something (though I have gotten myself in trouble when I have firmly advised people not to buy something in the past). I do not trust YouTube reviewers for anything in the fragrance world, but I find special fault with their proclamations as to whether I will enjoy something or not.
Just a thought.

I don't think it's that we necessarily smell different things, but how we describe the perception. Then of course there may be generational differences in what we think smells great. I simply abhor & detest these newer "metrosexual" male scents that young dudes like so much. As an example, I wouldn't spray a decaying corpse with Creed Aventus or any of its clones.
