After returning from a beach holiday I’m boycotting cold winter weather, and it’s working, was 51f in Chicago today so I went against the grain and pulled out a fun spring scent.

Very fragrant rose, citrusy orange/grapefruit and I get a hint of clove/botanical lite musk. Impeccable later, slickery, cushiony, my skin feels squeaky clean after this one. 

I know I’m not supposed to pull this soap out until March 2nd in observance of Dr. Seuss birthday but like my parents always say, “he’s not a very good listener, that one.”

Balm Report

I got the Seville Balm and I really enjoy it.  The viscosity is perfect, the post shave is impressive, scent strength is ideal, and it absorbs quickly.  I can't complain at all about this balm.  I have my fingers crossed this formula gets the green light.  Very well done to the B&M crew on this formula.  

ExtraProtein, if you like the Whatsis! then you will love the limited run of B&M Saguesera which to my nose is a flanker of that and also Vespers. Great soaps, but that vein of scent is not for my old Powerhouse tuned nose.

I received my order of Soft Heart Series ‘Le Petit Chypre’ Soaps and Splashes yesterday. The Scent is absolutely beautiful to my nose, and I’m excited to try the PP-8 Base. Also included in my shipment was a lovely hand written note from Paula, a very nice touch. Awesome products with great customer service.

I also realized the other day that B&M has kind of become a Holiday tradition in my House. I always look forward to using ‘Dickens’ as well as ‘Vespers’ this time of year to help get me in the spirit of the season. Paula’s ‘Dickens’ Cookie recipe has also become a Holiday staple in my household, some of my family members very favorite! We’ve always got to bake several batches so these can be on hand during the Holidays.

I thought I'd usher in the Roaring Twenties with this SOTD, complete with flapper and revelry...

As always, with Barrister and Mann, the performance is never lacking.  The Beaudelaire fragrance is one of my favorites, so I'm quite happy to have the EdT as well as to be well stocked in both the Glissant (featured here) and the Excelsior base.  I chose the Glissant tonight because, well, the art is fitting.  While Glissant and Excelsior perform differently, I do not find one to be inferior to the other.  As far as the new Deltus splash vs this one, it may come as a surprise, but I am indifferent to it.  I don't notice much difference in performance in the long game, and I suspect that's because post-products shine when faced with a sub-optimal shave.  I never get anything short of a stellar shave from Barrister and Mann, and thus the splash is obligatory.

I have it. Great smell and great soap.
