Maybe some have used 1 or both.
I like fruit, cedar type but not so much lime/lemon.
Not really into the dirt and fall leaves type, just for comparisons.
Any thoughts?

I used Atomic Holiday yesterday and really liked it.  Really well-done pineapple top.  The lime is subsidiary to the blend.  More fruit (pineapple) and less lime--no dirt and fall leaves at all.  I had used a sample of this before but could not get a read on the scent due to loss of my sense of smell.  But then I have never had much luck with samples.

The scent was created in honor of Enrico Fermi's incredible December 3, 1942 achievement-- "Fermi and his team did the seemingly impossible: they successfully tested the first man-made nuclear reactor."

Here is my post:

B&M Atomic Holiday

This is a very addictively scented, limited edition, Barrister and Mann Omnibus soap.  For a while, I was missing my sense of smell, likely due to Covid, and could not sense much of the scent from a sample I had ordered.  I took a leap of faith and ordered a full set anyway.  I am very glad I did as this soap from the tub is wonderful.

"Comprised of pineapple, lime, bergamot, labdanum, and ozone, Atomic Holiday is thrillingly optimistic, a bright, cheery fragrance for even the darkest Winter nights."

That sounds like something I might like. I've not had real success with samples either, sometimes the scent is almost gone.

I just cannot wrap my mind around the fact that I still haven’t tried that Omnibus base. It might be because I’ve tried so many new base recently and that I have well over 100 soaps. It’s something I truly need to remedy soon as I’m interested in Atomic Holiday, Fougère Classic and probably renew my tub of Fougère Gothique and Arctique.

To me Omnibus is one of the very top level of soap bases.
You should report back afterwards you use it

I’ll sure do! Just need to order a few soaps, receive them and tried them a few times and I’ll post review right after!

I have way too many soaps myself. I am trying to resist ordering more. The problem is that Barrister and Mann is producing spectacular scents in its stellar Omnibus base. Everyone's taste is different but, of the many I have tried and possess, these are my favorites (in no particular order): Atomic Holiday, Paganini's Violin, Passiflora, Cologne Russe, and Le Grand Chypre. I enjoy other B&M soaps but those mentioned are the ones that land solidly in my "spectacular" category.

I have experienced only one B&M dud scent--Full Measure of Mrs. Butterworths aka Full Measure of Man. I am sure that others will disagree.

The Omnibus base is pretty great, although I do like the reserve base and had no problems with the others I had tried. I did have a bad experience with the Omnibus Vespers recently but that was purely based on my stupid need to use a Semogue boar brush that has offered me less than stellar lathers before. I may have left soaking for too long. I did swap brushes to a synthetic brush towards the end and the lather was as good as I remembered again. The brush just ate up the lather and destroyed it. I did wash that brush out and clean it thoroughly so I might give it a go again but overall the Omnibus base is tough to beat. Very easy to use. I love the scent of Vespers but it got down voted in my household which really hurt.

I have atomic holiday and reminds me of a Pineapple soda drink we have here in Australia after taking a sniff off the puck. I haven't used it yet but I like it. Picked up Fougère Classique at the same time but due to a credit card issue I missed out on the aftershave and have since been unable to get it (it's harder getting aftershaves sent to Australia) so I probably won't be using it in a hurry as I always like having matching aftershave to round out the shave in the end and fully grasp the scent.

Does anyone else find Omnibus to be really 'heavy' on the face? Almost like a moisturizing cream? I used some Saponificio Varesino yesterday and it felt much 'lighter' on the face. Wonder if its to do with all the ingredients that contribute to post-shave feel in Omnibus.

I don't really find it heavy but enjoy the face feel you're talking about.
I've been trying their balm after soap and splash and that might end up being too much for summer, for me.
Most of the time I'm doing the three layers so if it gets out of hand I can cut back on the the last 2, splash and Balm.
Everyone's different and our skin also.

What do you think about their older base, say Excelsior or Reserve, how do those seem with you?
