They never said that.

Double-checked with Brad and, so far as he knows, no one at Maggard has indicated to anyone that we neglected to send samples. From what he said, he's made sure that everyone in the shop is aware that the decision not to offer samples was his. Just to clear up what appears to be a misunderstanding. Smile

Well the female I spoke with on the phone a few hours ago said exactly as I typed earlier!! It seems as if someone is doing damage control at this point and quite frankly that's between Maggard & B&M. As well, the woman I spoke with was asked by me specifically as to whether she had been asked this same question a lot today to which she emphatically replied "Yes."  I didn't just pull this story out of my ass people.  Angry

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Let this one go man. I think most would have preferred samples on the front end but your going to get them in less than 3 weeks anyway. Sit tight.

I do know from a conversation a few years back that samples are a royal pain in the ass to make. Manufacturers don't put the samples together. Like we all read above they send bulk soap and then Brad's team in this example cookie spoons for allot of hours. Not fun and certainly allot of labor. Huge labor suck.

My vibe on the choice made. Those that were going to buy will buy blind. Those that need a sample to make a purchase will get it on the back end. Making samples and doing a roll out on labor day weekend sounds like a crap shoot all the way around TBH. If the data would be shared I wonder how many buyers of samples actually buy full sized sets.

More importantly......I find the FG edt to be the prize of that set. Wonder if Angelique is well received we get an eventual EDT too.

+1 for Jaxstraww's comment.  And cheers to Brad and Will!  Rolling out something like this cannot be easy.  You pays your money and you takes your chances as far as liking the scent.

Just got my shipment today, and Angelique is outstanding. Gothique is Will’s Masterpiece, and in my opinion Angelique is right there with it. The Scents are beautifully composed. Angelique definitely deserves its own EdP.

I have to say that of all the artisans in the wet shaving space, Will / Barrister and Mann has stuck his neck out to bring more unique and innovative projects to market than any other artisan. He’s among a handful of, if not the most creative artisan out there. And for all this love he brings he consistently gets kicked in the teeth.  As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished.

Keep it up Will, despite the odd hiccup, you are loved and appreciated.
