Maybe he got home sick too or got stuck in Serbia for one reason or another.
During peak covid times in Australia Victoria was probably the harshest state to live in and I don't think he lived there. I live in New South Wales which wasn't ideal but I was still working at the time throughout lockdowns and such. I still firmly believe the biggest problem for his business would have been mail both in and out.
I don't know where he sources his hair fibres from but lets assume China as badgers do not exist in Australia and it seems like that is where a lot of the fibres seem to come from. Australia's relationship with China hasn't been on the best of terms so that could have contributed. As mentioned before there was no shipping to and from Australia to the US in particular as flights were grounded and there were huge issues with shipping containers too and our docks in Australia from what I have been told were amongst one of the slowest to deal with loads and that could have been due to covid social distancing and many other things.
It's definitely a lot calmer around here in Australia again but it wasn't that bad here even during the peak for someone to flee the country.
Agreed to go AWOL is a bit odd and concerning to say the least. If any of these matters were an issue he should have probably just informed everyone to keep them all up to date.
I hope we all hear from him again.

I know plenty of people in Austraila that are still buying shaving gear from the states with zero issues. It's been 3 years since COVID hit the world. This dude has ghosted a ton of people that paid him and they are left empty handed. There is no excuse to do this and no other brush maker has done this during COVID. Hopefully he pops back up or someone finds him so he can be held accountable.
