Any Brut lovers out there...?

Still any Brut lovers around?
I have the aftershave but was wondering if I should get the splash-on too.
Can it be used as aftershave?
Lighter smell?

As far as aftershaves go, I never really liked Brut, but I do like Pinaud Clubman......go figure? I also like, but do not love Floid Vigoroso. I love Avon Wild Country, and I hate and I mean hate Old Spice.

They are all so called "aromatic forgere's", so you would think that I would like all of them.

Oh, and as for EDTs, I really like Canoe-it is a lot like Clubman but sweeter.

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme is a great "cheapie" fougere. I have a bottle and really enjoy it.

There are a lot of aromatic fougeres from which to chose. They will be based around lavender, oakmoss, and tonka bean. It is the accompanying scent notes that differentiate one from another. Faberge Brut was an essential fragrance back in the 1960s, along with Shulton Old Spice, Mem English Leather, and Speidel British Sterling. As a young man, I had all the originals in my collection. Unfortunately, I no longer have the originals, but I do have the modern day versions. I would have to say that Brut, which is still sold by Faberge, seems to be closest to the original to be the best of my scent recollection. Brut is once of the most iconic fougeres.

I combined 36 g of Brut aftershave with a whole puck of Williams Mug, and formed it into a stick, for what I called "Brutus Vilius".
It was part of a challenge (to use Williams Mug as a base) on B&B.





It was alright, but I got turned off from Brut as a result by the time I finished the stick.
