Tonight’s shave with the Alpha outlaw was incredibly smooth. With the help of the incredible Kaizen soap and a smooth blade, this razor performed wonderfully. After getting the angle dialed in I would definitely consider this a smooth and efficient razor.

how about the brush?

Got my pass around package the other day.  Here are my thoughts:

Brush

• I did not use the brush because I have an Alpha Classic in Jade with the same knot.  I did remove it from the pouch and it is stellar.  Feels great in the hand, fit and finish is fantastic.  Let me say that the G4 synthetic knot is the best synthetic knot that I ever used.  I plan on purchasing some more Alpha brushes.
  

Outlaw Razor

• I am new to wet shaving.  I started in February, so gaining experience  I have three razors so far (Merkur 34C, Timeless SS 0.68 blade gap scalloped plate, Vikings Blade Godfather Stonehenge).  With all of these razors,  I need 3 passes with a lot of clean up.  Shaved twice with the Alpha Outlaw, I still did 3 passes, but almost NO clean up.
  
• I use a Crystal Blade both times / PAA cube / PAA Boomtown Bay Rum (1st shave) / Dr. Jon's Pan's Pipe (second shave)
  
• The razor feels great to hold.  Excellent knarling!  I love the matte handle.
  
• No blade exposure on the ends.  Easy to get under the nose.  
  
• Very smooth shave, nice audio feedback while going against the grain.
  
• Substantial weight
  
• Very nice quality, fit and finish
  
• Priced well
  

All in all, just LOVED it.  Plan on purchasing.  One suggestion, maybe Alpha could consider a matte head, cap, and stand to match the matte handle.  Not a deal breaker if they don't.  The high gloss and matte combination looks nice as well.  Keeping it for the rest of the week, and then sending it along to the next person on the list.  If anything changes on the next few shaves, I will post again.

Here's the pass around list. Vlasta is going to send out two brushes and two razors, one for the West coast and one for the East coast. As per the usual DFS pass arounds, keep the razor for a week or so and then send it along to the next person on the list for your area. Once you have time, please share some feedback in this thread, whether good or bad.

As a precaution for the covid19 stuff, please soak the razor in alcohol, or something similar before using the razor and prior to shipping it off to the next person to limit our risks.
