Ok razor and brush off to Hawaii. Use the razor and brush one time use enough to give a review for me after owning over 50 razors. The brush handle is absolutely beautiful and feels great in the hand the synthetic knot was just OK for me as I prefer more of a pillow feel and this I could feel the tips. The razor shaved very well, They can be used everyday or with a few days growth it is mid aggressive and smooth and the handle and the knurling are excellent. Anybody looking for a stainless steel DE razor at a good price this is an excellent value for them for me I've many other highend razors that I would prefer

I figured I'd repost my review here.

I received an aluminum brush and an Outlaw razor in the mail.  I did not use the brush because I don’t have a great way to clean it after use, but I did pull it out and have a look at it.  It looks well made and is very heavy.  I really like it.

I completed 3 shaves with the Outlaw razor.  All shaves were 3 passes.  The blade I used for all shaves was a Wizamet fresh from the package.  I also used Maggard Razors Unscented Preshave Oil for all shaves.  My only change between the shaves was the soap;  first shave – Stirling Boat Drinks, second shave – Declaration Grooming Original, third shave – WSP Fougere Noir.

Here are my observations:

First, this is a well made razor.  It looks great, and fit and finish is excellent.  Yes, the underside or the top cap has light machine marks, but you’d never see it with the razor together.  At the price point, I’m impressed.  Second, the rails on the baseplate are something I’ve never seen before.  The design is interesting as it puts flex on the blade and means no blade chatter.  Lastly,  the handle has excellent knurling.  I really like it.  You can grip this razor when your hands are wet and slick.  The two-tone look of the razor (between the head and the handle) is different and I appreciate it.

Now, about the shave.  For me, all my shaves turned out exactly the same.  One word – AWESOME.  I started all of my shaves WTG.  I didn’t even think the razor was taking any hair away.  Very little sound and very smooth feeling as you use the razor.  I looked at the cream on the razor and it was full of hair.  I then did a second pass ATG.  Same thing.  Very smooth feeling and very quiet.  Cream once again full of hair.  Third and final pass was XTG.  This is usually where I’ll get bit on my jawline, but this razor is just super smooth.  I rinsed my face and did a check; BBS and no nicks or cuts. I have a Wolfman WR2 1.15 closed comb.  It shaves almost exactly like it.  It’s uncanny.  I really enjoyed shaving with this razor.  It’s one of the best I’ve ever used.

Hi All,

Here's the pass around list. Vlasta is going to send out two brushes and two razors, one for the West coast and one for the East coast. As per the usual DFS pass arounds, keep the razor for a week or so and then send it along to the next person on the list for your area. Once you have time, please share some feedback in this thread, whether good or bad.

As a precaution for the covid19 stuff, please soak the razor in alcohol, or something similar before using the razor and prior to shipping it off to the next person to limit our risks.

Alpha Shaving Pass around shave.  Very thankful to be able to try out these products!  The razor build quality seems very nice.  Clean machining and no sharp edges.  The shave felt similar to a high blade feel razor such as the blackbird.  The blade is clamped similar to the blackbird so it gives a lot of feedback.  The Outlaw gave me a very close 1 pass shave.  I would rate this razor on the upper end of medium aggressive with a lot of blade feel and narrow sweet spot. Next shave I will try a different blade and see if I can get a little smoother results.      Next is the brush.  I absolutely fell in love with this brush. The handle is the perfect weight and size and is extremely comfortable to hold. The matte finish gives a great grip.  The knot is no slouch either with its very soft tips and nice backbone. Definitely one of the best synthetic I’ve tried.  I’m not sold on the razor yet but I will definitely be purchasing one or two of these brushes.[Image: Keo4k3M.jpg]
